Yeah, at this point there are loads of cards. DB Heroes and Dokkan are totally different cards. Only problem with the game I have is how much it pushes pay to play (you summon, or "open packs" using dragon stones, which can be earned but are MUCH easier to buy).

Those look amazing but some poses are almost impossible to translate into SHF form, no matter how good the articulation is. For instance,

This is one of Goku's most iconic pre-fight poses; It looks relatively simple, but try posing your SHF like this. I just could not pull it off :dunno

Tamashii Nations used the Dokkan Battle cards as inspiration for Figuarts Zero Gogeta and Vegito which begs the question why the **** did they change the mouths?!

Wow, good catch there ang, I didnt even notice that! They pretty much ripped the card art off lol.

Every time I see those mouths I wonder wtf they were smoking when sculpting them, now theres even less sense behind it!

Edit: Actually, they seem to be doing that ALOT. ssj4 Goku is exactly the same:

You would think now would be the perfect time for tamashii to finally release that SHF Zero Raditz

As a perfect compliment to Nappa & Vegeta 2.0. But some executive apparently voted against it

Yeah, I don't understand the artistic design behind the facial sculpting. That art style is no where near Dragon Ball Z. It's a real shame too because they would have been one of the best Figuart Zeroes if they were done artically correct. I'm still debating if I want to purchase them or not because they still look pretty cool in person. Very expensive though.

On the Super Saiyan 4 Goku, the inspiration is from the intro of Dragon Ball GT which I believe the card took inspiration from as well.

I don't feel something is subjective if it can be objectively improved. Things like gaps in joints can objectively be improved without losing the articulation in any significant way, they've even proven that with prototypes, so this is an objective criticism. As is the new Vegeta's chestpanel not even being fully visible at the top bc the upper torso covers it in most positions. That's an objective flaw. Saiyin armor literally can't even do that.

Whether you're BOTHERED by any of this is personal.

it boggles the mind how Tamashii fudged up those faces, meanwhile statues like this

look like the animation literally jumped right out of your TV into your hands

I don't pose any of my figures without a Stage Act 4 stand. Some of them certainly don't need them but it's for my comfortability that I don't have to worry about them.

...Still have no idea what pose to put Super Saiyan 3 Goku in. Anybody have ideas for theirs? I'll have to rewatch his fight with Kid Buu.

This is how I have mine displayed. I'll most likely put the 2.0 in the same pose and retire the old one

Back in the states for a few weeks and visited Image Anime in the city and took some pics of their display. Scouter Vegeta 2.0 looks fantastic but like others I'm probably just gonna keep the OG on display and use the heads for a base Android/Cell Saga version. The missing panel lines aren't too noticeable in person but it's a shame they didn't paint that. Would've really made the figure pop

I love image anime. Im always scared to take photos of their displays because in my mind i feel it's frowned upon by the owners for some reason

Idgaf lol, there's no sign that says I can't [emoji41]

I like seeing their displays but I almost never buy from there. Their stuff is always more expensive and Midtown Comics or Konokuniya are usually cheaper. Now that I live in Japan I just can't buy stuff here anymore since it's so much cheaper to get stuff in yen at retail or lower. I've been spoiled [emoji10]

Does Armored Trunks and SSJ Vegeta 2.0 have the same body? Planning on using the extra head that comes with scouter Vegeta for a powered down version

minor differences but the most noticeable one is that vegeta is shorter and he has the bigger SWA shoulders, so some people have swapped shoulders with trunks for the powered vegeta or android saga vegeta.

Just got my scouter Vegeta and I gotta say I really like him. That’s one of my favourite versions of Vegeta so I’ve been looking forward to this since it was announced.

Definitely needed the armour lines, but the facial sculpt and paint is a big improvement over the older 1.0. Love the proportions the new articulation creates on the torso and waste (the 1.0 always looked a bit too hourglass shaped to me). I tend to prefer the lack of heavy shading on these, the brighter colours to me looks more like he just stepped out of a cartoon (but that's personal opinion only).

It's free advertisement for them if photos of their displays get posted by others so they'd be kinda foolish to frown upon it.
