I dont think its just for display; the end of that beam looks like his death ball, so my guess would be that the beam attaches.

Well if thats the case I hope the beam is in the box; I would much rather have his death beam than the death ball that he never actually got to use (the spirit bomb hit him first)

Well being that toysrus.com doesnt ship til June 28, I'd say its pretty safe to say it wont be til then before Amazon get new stock in...

I just checked on amazon again, and it seems they are on the 80-90$ price range now.
