Yea, I've sold things off before to help ends meet. Like my 1:6 SS Star Wars collection about 4 or 5 months ago, and It kills me to this day. My DBZ, Jabba's Palace, WWE Legends, WWE replica belts, and my small MoTuC collection is what I'm down to now. But they are my pride and joy. My DBZ Figuarts being my favorite!

Haha Had a long drawn out phone conversation today with my local hospital, and workers comp, stating that my medical bills should have been paid in full by comp and not myself. After a few days of waiting, they finally cleared the air, that indeed my bills were no longer in question, an comp had been charged and paid!

Now, bring on NAPPA!

i mean including the joints aswell?

im thinking of customising a SS goku into the namek battle damaged SS gokou but my main concern are the knee joints....

I was going to do something similar to this before the og Goku shot up in price. For the torso and arms you could add a little epoxy putty over the figures chest, and arms to make his muscles bigger(this also makes his shoulder look less weird without the pads), because the Namek SS Goku was pretty buff. And as far as the legs go, thats going to be a pain in the ***, but I imagine it would require chipping away at some of (a lot of) the plastic in the areas you want to be battle damaged, and using epoxy putty to remold the legs in the shape you want. I've spent a lot of time thinking about this, as you can tell

Okay...I know there's been many jokes about the thing on Buu's head looking like a dong....but that cosplayer made it LOOK LIKE A DONG!

Is there not any cheap figuarts from other lines with bare chests? Since its figuarts chances are the twi should fit together quite well, plus it will look better than using putty.

Edit: what about figuarts luffy from one piece? He is bare chested (the coat comes off) and a simple arm swap with Goku would give you a buff look I think.

Okay...I know there's been many jokes about the thing on Buu's head looking like a dong....but that cosplayer made it LOOK LIKE A DONG!

yeah, thats not a good look for that cosplayer!!

as for the namek Goku...

i dont see the chest being a problem. you can add some putty to level the shirt and gi out to be uniform in depth and add some ripped edges over the shoulders. maybe bulk the arms up.

remove the waist band replace with a belt with a ripped top part of the trousers attatched to it.

it is the legs that are the worst.

if you didnt want the exposed knee it would be relatively easy i suppose (maybe easier said than done!) you could make the trousers look damaged but as for exposing skin its pretty much impossible...

unless you were to get say a vegeta leg and putty over it...

i have a second goku (well third) but not a vegeta to rip the leg off of..

I dont know if you missed my post last page but if you go with a figuarts with bare chest you should be able to swap the pieces about, and save your Gokus chest from potentially getting ruined

It's going to be a lot harder than throwing putty at a goku, you're gonna have to have some serious sculpting skill to stand a chance. The luffy figure is also probably a quite different proportion to goku, and i bet vegeta's leg is shorter than goku's. If you could sculpt I'd try and eye up a power ranger figuarts, as their featureless torsos may be of a similar proportion and could be a decent buck for some muscles to be sculpted similar to this one

i wouldnt say i have a lot of great skill in this type of thing, but ive done stuff before and im confident i could do something that isnt complete ****.

sculpting faces is hard. making body parts on exsisiting parts and modding clothing is relatively easy.

no doubt vegetas leg is shorter but theres ways to elongate it.

if i had money to burn id just destroy some figures to put them back together how i want, but alas, i dont have money to burn!

I think vegeta's legs use smaller ball joints than goku's also (unfortunately learned from my issues with scouter vegeta lol) and adapting one to fit could be tricky if you use the leg. Id be interested to see what some sculptors on the custom section could make out of a figuarts power ranger/resculpt and bash into namek goku

i really wish we could just buy that grey blank figure... it would make life so much easier!!!
