No worries Bane! I wouldn't even trust myself handling all these votes.
The nice thing about a computerised poll is that teh results are beyond reproach.
However, I think a point system in addition to tallying unique votes per character would inform much more. For example, every first pick gives 5 points, every 2nd 4 and so forth.
Say Kid Buu got 20 unique votes, but many of those placed him first or 2nd. His point avarage would be high. Say if Android 16 got the same amount of unique votes, but most placed him fourth or fith, in point average, he'd still be below Kid Buu. Which is correct, because clearly the desire for Buu would be higher.
I think this'd be way more informative. Especially because we could also identify characters who MANY people want, yet hardly anyone wants desperately (I suspect a character like Bardock to end up there), as well as characters perhaps not popular in droves, but to some very important (like uh... whatever... Bubbles...).
This method does entail a lot more calculative hassle but it's genuinely more informative imo.
