Especially since new people are going to be discovering the line all the time. Trunks and Gohan are at far beyond prices that more people are willing to pay. However, if you have kid Trunks and Post-Time Trunks or Buu Saga, Ultimate Gohan, or Saiyan saga gohan released, at least people will get a chance at getting a high quality version of a character they love.

Hasn't every figure or the majority of those figures have versions made of them? It's not like people were voting for Chi Chi as the highest character. The top 3 are Yamcha, Tien, and Bardock, and just checking on ebay, I'm seeing many different figures of those characters already made, so I don't get that argument.

It's not like they have only released Goku and Vegeta figures. Heck I'm seen so many people complain about re-releases, like it will hurt the line. They're not replacing anything, but it seems to me people are just being selfish. It doesn't help Tamashii at all, with people spending those $150- to $200 prices for SSJ Vegeta. If a new person is going to see this line, most people are going to already think $40 is already expensive for an action figure.

I honestly think the majority of people buying these figures, will care mostly for getting the Saiyans and the main villains, and be completely satisfied. As much as I love the Buu Saga, Tamashii was really smart starting with Cell Saga forms, because they're so iconic.

:exactly::goodpost: no telling when this line could end .

In other news battle of the gods is out everywhere on the internet bout to watch it now.

My top 6 (assuming the twins as confirmed)
1. Tall Long Haired Trunks
2. Saiyan Saga Goku
3. 1F Frieza
4. Cell saga Tien
5. Cell Saga Yamcha
6. Android 16

Also, I agree completely with Big Daeno in that I find it a BS argument to say I shouldn't want a goku or vegeta because they were made in other lines. Guess what, I don't give a crap about other lines and there's no reason why I should.

I collect SHF and obviously I want my favs in that line. As do others. There's nothing wrong with that. If someone just wants all vegeta and goku appearances in shf form, there is nothing wrong with that! As I said to the guy behind the DBfigures poll, a desire for variety is not an objective argument. It's just a desire and contrary desires are equally valid to have. Other lines have no relevance to many shf collectors and that'll give different wants, all of which are fine because they're opinions.

see, you only collect S.H.F. so your hunger for more common characters is bigger than those who also collect other lines... its the reason why some go for the statue's, to silence their hunger until the time comes for that character to be made into a S.H.F. figure.

We're not saying that we dont want them to be made but our hunger for them isnt that freakin big and would prefer others more that we dont have that much of.

I completely understand and I respect that very logical POV. It's just that I don't think it's a POV that's somehow better or more neutral then people like me who just collect SHF (not necessarily implying you said that). We all have our wants and I consider them all equal, because they all come from personal circumstances.

My point is that I don't think we should attack others for which figures they want, or try to somehow objectify our own desires. The only objective thing to discuss here is business; what would sell and what wouldn't? And there's something to be said for both variety and releasing enough popular characters when a line is young. I think the line needs a balance between the two if it's to survive into an extended period (just my layman's POV, feel free to criticise). Enough access to popular characters to keep the line itself popular (like Big Daeno keeps saying); enough variety to keep the more hardcore collectors invested (like you kinda say Blood). Speed in popular characters to involve a large enough crowd and keep momentum; structure in releases to keep collectors' trust...

I see business sense in both POV's and apart from business I see no reason to be negative about anybody's desire for whatever character.

My five (not in any particular order):

1. Longhaired Saiyan Armor Trunks
2. Vegito
3. Super Buu
4. Ultimate Gohan
5. Hercule

Fantasy releases would be a Goten/Kid Trunks/Gotenks Fusion 3 pack and an Androids 19 & 20 2 pack with light up energy absorption hands. :)

mhm,yeah. that should do it

looking at your list though (sorry for attacking you now xD), the first 3 are characters we already have in some form. I wouldnt mind them but i'd prefer different characters like the last 3 you mentioned first to come out. but how much patience do you have before you say **** it, ill never have the figures i want and quit the whole thing. :/

they can bring out the first 3 you mentioned but then you can have people saying **** it, they keep bringing out the same character and quit... and then we'll be stuck with a big group of the same characters.

the line can end both ways :dunno

K, bit of a long answer, couldn't get it much shorter, sorry.:gah:

I don't get the fear of people 'quitting the line' however. Who in their right mind goes "If they don't make [insert desired figure] now, I'll never buy it!" That doesn't make sense to me. Once it gets there, people buy what they love. The only thing that matters is if what is being released in the mean time sells well enough for the line to continue. If you want e.g. Kid Buu now, yet he only gets here in 3 years, you're NOT gonna buy him, just because it had three years in between? I don't get that, I seriously don't. Even if you didn't buy a single Figuarts in the mean time, so what? Once SHF Kid Buu gets there you buy him, you wanted him didn't you? (Again, this was hypothetical.)
Some might do what you say and quit, but what matters for the line's existence, no disrespect meant, is that overall the product sells. I gotta agree with Big Daeno here, that means getting enough characters out that will sell (*$ sign eyes*). If releases sell, it'll mean the line continues. If the line continues, it'll mean new releases. New releases = chance of getting what you want. Popular characters can't make a line die out, because then they can't rightfully be called popular characters. That's the point of designating which character is popular, because as a given, it sells, because, drumroll... IT'S POPULAR:lol.

If you want to evaluate how financially solid my list happens to be, I personally think Tall Long Haired Trunks will sell pretty well. It doesn't influence whether I want the character or not, but I do think he'd sell. Especially if neither ssj Vegeta nor Trunks get a rerelease. I think a good version of Frieza 1F would sell in a year or two, when FF Frieza will be less or unavailable. Saiyan Saga Goku, yeah if they release the mold we've had 3 times now (unfortunately), I admit that's probably a goner indefinitely.:( Still think a retooled mold Saiyan/Namek mold would sell better. Tien, Yamcha and 16 are all risky ventures, but not much more than the other androids imo. Will we be getting a line with only rehashes of main characters? Obviously not. They're freakin releasing the Android twins!?!?!:panic: I'd never have expected that this soon. Tamashii's definitely going out on somewhat of a limb with that. (And I applaud it.)

I still expect them to fully cash in on DBKai's momentum when they start airing the Buu saga. I suspect that's when the line will flip towards that period. Unless fan craze forces them into delving in it earlier.

Whatever they do, a ssj version of the main saiyans should be available as much as possible. It will keep the line alive and keep luring in new customers, I'm pretty sure of it.

Change that to kid buu(final form) and its a good list , but hercule ? Over some other choices I don't know .

It was a toss up between him and Majin Vegeta but we already have SSJ Vegeta so I went with a lesser beloved character. I'm a big fan of Hercule's comedic effect and would like to see him made into a figuarts figure. Maybe with B included lol and I went with Super Buu over Kid Buu for the epic scene remake possibilities with Vegito. Maybe he can come with a little chocolate ball accessory hahaa XD

how do you spot a new collector?

when they nag tamashii to release Normal goku because their line is "missing" that iconic look of him. while other collectors have that look from other lines

What?

I want normal Goku as much as these "new" collectors you speak of, yet I've got almost every version of him you just posted pics of. As I said before, myself and many more people want more consistency, not more variety (which is still good within reason). Just because a character is a common figure doesnt make him or her any less valued of an addition to this line, and especially this line because of the uniqueness in terms of quality, articulation and accessories.

Admittedly I dont go on any DBZ boards, except this one, so my opinion might not be the prevailing one but I feel the androids are major characters. They have a saga named after them! It was one of the high points of DBZ. I cant think of any new characters I'm more eager for at this point.

In a general discussion about DBZ I agree, or at least, they're debatable anyway. But in terms of getting figures of them, I consider them side characters... They're not exactly fast to make them in general and there's quite a big group of DBZ fans who barely care at all about 'm. They might have a saga named after 'm, but there are many characters who have a lot more screen time in the series overall then them... So I was surprised to already see 'm popping up. *knock on wood* Before arguably more famous villains like Kid Buu or Nappa.

The andoid saga was a big one for me and occurred smack dab in the middle of the height of my dbz watching and fandom, so I am very happy to see them. They are also perhaps the most complex villains ever on the show outside of Vegeta

I agree . We want Normal Goku!!!! Those other normal gokus don't exist to me because I know that an sh. Figuarts normal goku would be the only goku worth getting .
