mhm,yeah. that should do it
looking at your list though (sorry for attacking you now xD), the first 3 are characters we already have in some form. I wouldnt mind them but i'd prefer different characters like the last 3 you mentioned first to come out. but how much patience do you have before you say **** it, ill never have the figures i want and quit the whole thing. :/
they can bring out the first 3 you mentioned but then you can have people saying **** it, they keep bringing out the same character and quit... and then we'll be stuck with a big group of the same characters.
the line can end both ways
K, bit of a long answer, couldn't get it much shorter, sorry.
I don't get the fear of people 'quitting the line' however. Who in their right mind goes "If they don't make [insert desired figure] now, I'll never buy it!" That doesn't make sense to me. Once it gets there, people buy what they love. The only thing that matters is if what is being released in the mean time sells well enough for the line to continue. If you want e.g. Kid Buu now, yet he only gets here in 3 years, you're NOT gonna buy him, just because it had three years in between? I don't get that, I seriously don't. Even if you didn't buy a single Figuarts in the mean time, so what? Once SHF Kid Buu gets there you buy him, you wanted him didn't you? (Again, this was hypothetical.)
Some might do what you say and quit, but what matters for the line's existence, no disrespect meant, is that overall the product sells. I gotta agree with Big Daeno here, that means getting enough characters out that will sell (*$ sign eyes*). If releases sell, it'll mean the line continues. If the line continues, it'll mean new releases. New releases = chance of getting what you want. Popular characters can't make a line die out, because then they can't rightfully be called popular characters. That's the point of designating which character is popular, because as a given, it sells, because, drumroll... IT'S POPULAR
.
If you want to evaluate how financially solid my list happens to be, I personally think Tall Long Haired Trunks will sell pretty well. It doesn't influence whether I want the character or not, but I do think he'd sell. Especially if neither ssj Vegeta nor Trunks get a rerelease. I think a good version of Frieza 1F would sell in a year or two, when FF Frieza will be less or unavailable. Saiyan Saga Goku, yeah if they release the mold we've had 3 times now (unfortunately), I admit that's probably a goner indefinitely.
Still think a retooled mold Saiyan/Namek mold would sell better. Tien, Yamcha and 16 are all risky ventures, but not much more than the other androids imo. Will we be getting a line with only rehashes of main characters? Obviously not. They're freakin releasing the Android twins!?!?!
I'd never have expected that this soon. Tamashii's definitely going out on somewhat of a limb with that. (And I applaud it.)
I still expect them to fully cash in on DBKai's momentum when they start airing the Buu saga. I suspect that's when the line will flip towards that period. Unless fan craze forces them into delving in it earlier.
Whatever they do, a ssj version of the main saiyans should be available as much as possible. It will keep the line alive and keep luring in new customers, I'm pretty sure of it.
