If they release great saiyaman they will need at least 4 heads the saiyaman helmet, the bandana and glasses one and a ssj head and non ssj head lol

Either it will be very expensive or replace accessories. But I can't see them giving us different faces for each head though. I hope though! I really want him! For the Great Saiyaman head you might not need too many different faces, but with the bandana head you might, but the non head and ssj head definitely will. They have been adding more accessories, so maybe they will do it. Not that most people would vote it, but I think a lot more people would be interested in a figure of him, if they new they could get the maskless heads.

I have to say I'd mostly just wanna SEE a Dabura SHF, because I imagine that to be freakin impressive.

But honestly, can't say I'd buy it. I'm really more and more somewhat moving towards Big Deano's opinion that they should just first focus on the major famous characters (granted I disagree with him in that I think tien and yamcha belong in that group).

It's really fun to imagine SHF's of everything but... in all reality it is a very prestigious line. I just wish we knew somewhat how Tamashii themselves view this. Like, do they even expect this line to continue for long? Or do they just go 'year by year'? We don't know jack about how much they plan to invest in this line and it's kinda gnawing at me.

That's why I've spent so long trying to figure out my top 5. I doubt that I would even get them all, but trying to find a good mix, that would leave me satisfied. I know it's all hypothetical, but it makes it fun! Despite how awesome characters like the Ginyu Force are, they are far out of the question. I was surprised to see how many people on the other forum jumping right away to such obscure characters, when you can see the history of the various figuarts lines. They need to get the heavy hitters out first, unless they're planning to go on really long term. Look at the rate of figures we've gotten each year.

I would love to see how Dabura would look as well!

I think they were really smart in all the character choices they made so far. One of the best things they did, in my opinion, is holding out on Goku this long. Now that the line is getting hot, a bunch of people are aware, and will have the opportunity to get in the most famous character. I'm sure a lot of people would be very hesitant to invest if they missed out on a famous look for Goku. Too bad it's not the Saiyan Saga Goku, but hey, beggars can't be choosers-well, maybe sometimes.

Hm... they walked a fine line releasing the most iconic character of the series arguably this late. But still soon enough to attract most I think. I'd really miss the Android twins if they didn't get here, and I'd mainly just miss Trunks' look after he exits the Time Chamber. With Normal Goku getting here (albeit somewhat not the version I'd have wanted), I don't see anything else anymore I'd genuinely really MISS if it didn't get here... There are obviously definitely plenty characters I would buy, but after the aforementioned four I wouldn't care much what got released. Just to see the line continue would be fun, but in which way that's feasible is hard to tell imo.

Are there ANY comparative sales numbers made public for the DBZ SFH's? I'd love to know a bit more factually which characters sold well and which didn't, apart from taking guessing based on stock and price differences.

hey bane! did u get my top 5?

My five (not in any particular order):

1. Longhaired Saiyan Armor Trunks
2. Vegito
3. Super Buu
4. Ultimate Gohan
5. Hercule

Fantasy releases would be a Goten/Kid Trunks/Gotenks Fusion 3 pack and an Androids 19 & 20 2 pack with light up energy absorption hands. :)

^ Yaaay for your nr 1 haha! You should specify order though, we use a point system that allocates most points to the highest one and least to the lowest.

Or you could just add 3 points to all five Bane...

thnx! the only change id make is super buu at the top i guess. we need the last main villain! super buu, longhaired saiyan armor trunks, vegito, ultimate gohan n hercule. thats my final answer! :)

That'd be a great continuation, actually. If we just switch out hercule for majin vegeta, that'd yield quite a smart release schedule imho.

How about this?
2014: goku, 17, 18, nappa, trunks + sdcc14 (trunks could be the sdcc14)
2015: buu, adult gohan, vegito, I'd add gotenks and perhaps majin vegeta as sdcc15

Regardless of my specific wants, I think that's a solid imminent release schedule frankly. It'd sweep a lot of very wanted figures, like, a line up like this should really sell. As much as I want tien & yamcha, the buu era fans have had nothing yet and the line as a whole needs those fans to remain invested the way I see it...

Thoughts?

Edit: my bad we have goku ssj3, but still...

I don't see why Bandai should treat Dragon Ball any different than they do their other Tamashii lines. If Gundam Wing, a sub-line within a sub-line (if that's how you look at it), gets three different Leos, two different Aries, and I'm sure more grunts then why can shouldn't DB get "minor" characters? I don't care if they are Japan only web exclusives, I want characters like Dabura, Tien, Yamcha, assorted Andriods, Hercule, etc. As great as main characters are, this is a collectors line not a child's retail toy line. Releasing Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan variants over and over again can just as easily improve sales as decrease sales overall.

But with all due respect, the gohan we have vs adult gohan is practically a new character. The same goes for norm and ssj goku and even, imo, for saiyan, cell and majin vegeta. The changes these characters go through are staples of the show. I think it's pretty clear they are in fact the most wanted characters. These characters would also only make smaller chars a matter of time. Whereas a line that doesnt sell renders future releases possibly non existent.

Releasing characters like hercule or dabura now is... well to put it rudely, stupid from a business pov I think. No way I see them actively carrying a young line forward... You can smuggle a character like that in once a year or as an sdcc exclusive maybe. Look at Cell, he's actually dropping in price and hes one of the main villains! That not a good sign. Even Frieza doesn't seem like a massive seller either. These figures are expensive and many people who don't collect all of them (which is the majority Id say) hold out for their favorites. That really ruins sales...

It's easy to think that what we want is what everyone wants. We're just a few people, how can we really know what everyone wants? I'm sure Bandai will do what makes the most sense business wise. You may think Kid Gohan and Adult Gohan are two different characters, but to assume everyone else thinks that way is a bit short sighted isn't it? The fact that we are getting Krillin, Andriod 17, Shenron, and possibly Nappa show that there is plenty of interest outside of just Saiyans.

Also, all Tamashii Nations figures drop in price over time. Then they sell out and their value goes up on the secondary market. You're talking like Cell and Frieza have been out for a significant amount of time, but they haven't. If Cell had done so bad, Frieza wouldn't have been released here most likely. Characters like Andriod 17 & 18 and Nappa wouldn't be up for consideration either. Sales data on those figures is surely at the point where Bandai is using it regarding whether to make the figures we've seen thus far.

Agreed, the only obscure characters that would even sell would be Bulma and Roshi.

Like I said I want kid buu!!! And 18 , great saiyaman with helmet head and ssj p ,black hair head .

Yeah I saw that with Cell too. It was kind of worrisome. Saiyan Saga Vegeta sold through pretty quick, and it was out of stock for awhile. People were selling it for almost $90 on amazon for awhile. Now it's down in price, but I think that's normal. You can see that the re-release of SSJ Goku is going pretty well, with the many fluctuations in pricing. They went right to the big guns villian-wise with Cell and then Frieza, and might gauge how obscure they want to go for villains. Even though it's not a child's retail line, adults have a lot of responsibilities, whether it be families, friends, or bills in general, and $40-$60 on an action figure may be far out of their price range, and may only be willing to spurge on heavy hitters. I'm an adult, who's a huge DC and Marvel fan and would love to get all the characters, but have to skip out on so many figures, in order to get other things. Marvel Select recently release a new Venom figure, which would have been my absolute dream figure years ago, and it looked fantastic to me, but I refuse to get it, because I won't be able to afford things more important to me. Arkham Origins is really tempting me, especially with a new Bane, but I have to skip out.

I don't think anyone is suggesting they should keep releasing variants over and over. That would turn people away. I'm sure everyone would love if this line went on so long that it could cover all fan favorite characters. We're just throwing our thoughts out, because we are kind in the dark about Tamashii's long term plans. Or at least, it's my thoughts.

Thanks! I got you down! You're the first super buu vote, but you won't be the last! I'm voting for him as well.

Do you guys think if they ever got to a Kid Goku, that they would probably do the updated "Path to Power" looking face? I'm not the biggest fan of that look. I voted for Kid Goku on the official poll for my number 1 want, but after seeing Scouter Vegeta and Krillin, it seems they're going for the updated looks. That's also deterring me from voting for Saiyan Saga goku, because I doubt they'd redo the facial features for a classic, less muscular look, which is my favorite look for Goku.

That version of Goku is technically his GT version; if they did a dragonball version of him then it would most definitely be his original look. The reason saiyan vegeta is so bulky isnt because of them using a new look, its, lets face it, because they got lazy and reused most of super Vegetas mould, minus the torso. Krillin is his android version to go with the other figures, since most are based off of that saga.

True though, that since Goku already has a mould that if they were to do an early version it would be a retooled android Goku, but any new moulds should in theory be more true to what they looked like at that stage.
