Not at all bane, I enjoy explaining it :lol

The only reason this line still exists is because of America and the west begging bluefin to take the mantle for releasing them, but because of how poorly this line did in Japan they were kept as web exclusives there and given special limited runs for America. The problem is that its the same box etc as Japan got so it still counts as being a web exclusive figure; if bluefin started making boxes just for the western audience there wouldnt be a problem as seen by the current MMPR line (apart from green and red they are all web exclusives in japan, but because of the different box bluefin is able to continue making them regular releases in America)

There may be a loophole whereby if bluefin released Vegeta etc in new packaging it would possibly negate the exclusivity issue, but thats just a guess.

"And because you demanded it, Goku will include the "Kamehameha" effect parts, five interchangeable faces, and a full array of interchangeable hands (5 right/4 left)... A web exclusive in Asia, Goku has been made specially available for fans in North America."

I wanted to post this for awhile now, but didn't because I assumed it was either posted or you guys read it if you pre-ordered, but being that the discussion about them catering to Japan is brought up a lot, I figured I post it again if people missed it. They definitely care about North America.

They do care, no doubts there, but we dont seem to get listened to as much as we did, or else we would see buu and majin vegeta by now!

Thanks Deano! I was really confused! I have a bad memory, so I have notes everywhere of things and copy and pasted things from word pad to here, and I didn't write that down, but I didn't want to bug you guys if it was said.

It's good that they respect the collectors. I really don't care about the box though, I just want the figure! I don't want to pay over retail price for any of these, and made the exception for Piccolo, because we had to. If I missed out, I missed out. Otherwise, I could pay scalper prices, and it's my choice not to. But at least people still have that option. I never spent my money on anything other than the necessities growing up, so I was already feeling wrong about spending this much on figures anyways! Everything I got was from birthdays or Christmas gifts, and put whatever money I made in the bank or hid it in my closet. It's probably why Fight Club is my favorite movie!

I'm slowly resigning myself to the fact that if I want SSJ Vegeta it's gonna seriously cost me, but may cost me less now than a few months down the line....

I've already paid a pretty huge amount for some of these figures, and I simply HATE not having SSJ Vegeta in my collection! The thing that really worries me is the import duty if I pay a large amount for it - some people say that the duty was nearly as much as what they paid for the original item, so if I spend £150+ on Vegeta from Japan, is it gonna cost me the same again in duty??? If anyone has experience on this (especially in the UK) I'd be really grateful to know what I'm getting myself in for... My lack of SSJ Vegeta is seriously bugging me lol - I know if I don't get it it's always gonna grate on me!

That whole "new box" idea is very interesting... I swear they might just do it...i hope so at least for all my fellow collectors who have missed out on ssj vegeta

I can't see him raising any more than he is, so hopefully you can wait, and they might announce something, but it's up to you! You said you HATE not having him, so if it bugs you that much, you might not want to risk it. Is there a certain price range you have, because I will search for you and let you know! Like I said, I'm not going over retail, so I'm not getting anything other than a re-release. I'm happy to help you!

I know it'll be my luck that as soon as I buy it it'll get re released, but I guess it's a chance I may have to take, and one I guess I'll live with... I'll wait and see if Bluefin get back to me (I somewhat doubt it though tbh). I'll prob end up getting it through an Amazon seller to be honest, as it seems cheaper than ebay at the moment. Very kind of you to offer to look though :D

I'm not SO bothered about paying the amount for the figure (my second Trunks figure cost me £100, and the first one £80), it's really the unexpected cost of import tax from Japan that I'm worried about.... I've got a Banpresto Frieza (2nd form) coming from Japan at the moment, so I'll see how badly I get stung on that before going for Vegeta....

Well from what others have said on this site every release after ssj goku was a web exclusive. If that's the case then the only characters we will ever see reissues of is Piccolo, SS Gohan and Goku...

I was wondering that - will suck for new collectors a year or so down the line if that is the case....

Yep you're right, Manga Piccolo reissue June 2014, Manga Gohan will probably be up soon as well.

Okay, now that I see they're refeleasing all three I'd say it's overall good news as it simply means popularity. They're essntially rereleasing the line's entry point along the old normal goku release. That kinda looks logical. Whn I saw the Goku news I really facepalmed as well, such a hasbro move (you won't believe how retarded hasbro is distributing in the star wars black line).

Wasn't the white ranger released as a web excluive kiba ranger way before they made us version with us box? Ssj vegeta within a new box is a possibility then I'd say, but...

I'm now starting to think the sdcc14 will be ssj vegeta in a new box... It's the prime occasion to introduce a new box and I'm not sure if I can see them doing it otherwise.

I also still think the ssj vegeta and trunks zero figures are a possible 'make-up' move... As nasty as it sounds.

You pay 20% additional value of the figure and there is also a fee of about £8 - £12.50 depending on the value of the item. You'd probably be paying about £43 in duties :( As much as I love this line you'd be spending more than the value of a top notch hot toys figure and thats crazy!

EDIT: This was a reply to Riddle of Steels question about £150 Vegeta, got sidetracked midway through typing and now my comments about a page behind.

Wow if goku gohan and piccolo are getting re releases this yr...thats def a huge improvement from last year!

Thanks man, really appreciate the info :) - as crazy as it might sound that isn't half as bad as I thought it might be! I can't believe I'm actually considering it but I really love these figures and I'm a big Vegeta fan, so if there is no other way I might well go for it... I will NEVER do it again though - I really need to cap my spending on these figures... I've deliberately never added up what I've spent on this line in the last year, as I think it would frighten me lol!
