Honestly i think they will make the exact same ssj vegeta for sdcc bit he will have the yellow tipped boots lol

Getting ready to trade my trunks and vegeta. Will probably rebuy them down the road.

Just set up a new display using a d-arts pokemon base so i have sdcc gohan, ssj goku, cell and frieza all on stands on the same platform. I really like cell and frieza, but I find it difficult to get a good, "alive" pose out of them, something always looks a little off, whereas with the saiyans and especially piccolo, I can pull off a multitude of great poses.

Since I highly doubt we'll get a Majin Saga Vegeta as the SDCC exclusive, they haven't had any new sculpts for SDCC exclusives, I would love a Cell Saga Vegeta that's similar to the Trunks figure; a normal headsculpt, a super saiyan headsculpt, multiple expressions for both, more hand gestures, and crossed arms. If they were to do the Majin Saga Vegeta, then the normal, SS and Majin SS head sculpts are mandatory.
Yeah, and there wouldn't be a problem with this for people who bought the first Vegeta release, since most people would probably have the Scouter Vegeta, who has two normal heads.

Though I do wish they would do Nappa, at least an Exclusive. I really want to see all of the Saiyans in Figuarts form. I can at least hope for now, as the line seems to have steadily gained steam. At least Broly is being considered!

That's actually the only scenario I'm gonna be annoyed with a bit because if there's one thing I'm not accepting, it's one pair of white boots and one pair of anime correct tipped boots. That's an awful lack of symmetry I cannot take.

Just saying it one more time: the tamashii rep who got interviewed clearly explicitly said they were NOT decided on whether they could rerelease ANY web exclusive anywhere at all and neither were they decided on whether to use strategic means such as small repaints and tinkering. One can also assume the sdcc ex is already decided upon and probably already in production.

If you add these two up it spells one thing to me: no android era armour Vegeta ssj sdcc ex. It simply seems impossible to me considering time frame and statements made just a week ago. It might indeed be Vegeta, but not a retinkering of his original web exclusive version. It's a direct contradiction with what the tamashii Rep said.

Just keep these things in mind for those who're becoming overly hopeful...

The question actually is which rule is harder on them: only repaints as sdcc ex's, or no web exclusive re-issues. According to the tamashii rep the latter is still in debate internally and I believed it when he said it. Simple conclusion to me is that it's therefore the former rule that's already decided upon to break.

He also explicitly said that we already had Goku Gohan and Piccolo, who would we expect next? Rereleases are one thing, but sdcc figures arent reissues, they are entirely repainted, making the Vegeta issue null, because he wont be the same figure.

What if they just surprise everyone by releasing this version of Trunks

I would go effin mental.:rotfl But no way, just no way. That's an entirely new figure right there. I would buy it in a heartbeat though. Any Long haired Trunks, tis my nr 1 wanted figure now the twins are almost here. Maybe tied with a proper Normal Goku, that is a saiyan saga look with staff, cloud and sensu beans. Yeah no that's become my nr 1, Trunks is second.:p

(EDIT: regarding ssj vegeta) Okay Big D. Ftr, I hope it is, it's a win-win for every collector invested in this line. I'd just hate to see people settng themselves up for disappointment and what the tamashii rep said came as a surprise to me (in terms of explicitness).

they also said no more repaints... :rolleyes2 :lol

oh well, keep the convo going if that amuses you

yep, some time before sdcc13 but then we got piccolo. so i believe that they meant after piccolo no more repaints buuuuut now they're trying for vegeta. so who knows :dunno

I see no reason why they would bother to make a whole new mold for sdcc. Few companies do. It's not worth the effort and cost to make new designs, molds and everything that goes with it just for an exclusive they are only supposed to be selling for a 4.5 day period. Repaints and repackages are easy and profitable. A whole new figure wouldn't be.

So, is it just me or do the shoulders on the Normal Goku look different from the ones on the SS & SS3 Goku? Maybe it's just the positioning in the pics I've seen of it, but they look better. They seem more defined and don't look to stick out as far where they meet the upper arm.

That's the one I was just referring to, but I guess your picture was cooler. That's my favorite look for Trunks, and like I said before, I really want them all.

I did something I thought I would never do today, I gave my goku, gohan, cell and freiza static poses, with plain fists at the side and folded arms for the villains.

Looks pretty cool.
