How does customs usually work? I do almost all my buying domestically. Do they actually open up and inspect each package to determine what type of fee to apply?

Weighing the probability of the new fighting game license:

I would want some Soul Calibur figures, but it's not really a relevant game franchise right now.

Mortal Kombat
would make sense, it has a new game in development right now, the voice actor who plays Snake let it slip that he finished recording his voice samples for this new MK game, and Tamashii already is working on Injustice figures (which is another WB license, and both games were made by Nether Realm)

Tekken
already has Playarts Kai figures, and I doubt they would challenge them on another franchise that isn't currently relevant. But, it is a Bandai license, so I suppose it's a possibility.

Killer Instinct seems quite possible as it was welcomed by Japanese fighting game fans, but the lack of popularity of Xbox products in Japan makes this unlikely to me, since Tamashii typically aims there products at Japan and only considers the states.

I think the strongest possibility is a game that no one mentioned here yet:
Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign-

This series is BIG in Japan, and has a small cult following in the states. And is set to release on PS3 PS4 pretty soon, it already has dominated the Arcades (I assume it's dominating :/ )

I would love some Tekken Figures by figuarts. I have the Kazuya from Play Arts Kai but unfortunately it looks like they gave up on the Tekken brand.

Guilty Gear is also a possibility. Tamashii already has some BlazBlue Figuarts in the works (BlazBlue is pretty much the sibling series to Guilty Gear)

I had forgotten about the Blaze Blue figures!
To be honest, any series listed so far I would collect along with the Injustice and DBZ (I really can't afford this, I may have to go hungry just to feed the addiction :( )

they just pick a package which they believe has some drugs hidden or little toy guns
Sometimes they send you letter which you have to reply with printed out papers of your ebay purchase or w/e of how much you actually bought the item for and which country it came from, etc and they'll determine it from that....
and yes they actually open up and sometimes they go a little bit too deep with their knife and this **** happens

God that **** sucks. I've had that happens, but not as bad where it went all the way through.

I would like to see them do one of the crossover series of games. That way we would get characters from multiple franchises with just the one license. I.e. - Street Fighter x Tekken, Marvel vs. Cap on 3 or SNK vs. Capcom 2

Fuuuuuuuuuuu that's brutal.

I can't find a reasonably prices SSJ Vegeta anymore :[ ( reasonably in the 100's range ) Anyone interested in selling theirs? lol

I'd actually suggest people to vote in the window where it becomes publicly confirmed ssj vegeta will (would) be the sdcc2014 release without showing his cool scheme (they always show a hint first). That window must scare a lot of scalpers. Bound to be some who lower their price fearing he won't be that special anymore after sdcc. The SDCC ex's are quit well to come by for this line.

Dunno, just an idea for those still looking.

Ah very true, I'll wait on that then, when was the average time they showed that hint before the con?

An SDCC release will be great for people who want more, and want one to begin with, however I doubt the prices will crash on the old one as not may past releases dipped much when they got SDCC repaints....

The price of an item that gets a custom charge in the UK has to be over £15
this changes to £36 if the item is marked as a gift

But watch out, don't get a company to mark it as a gift if you can get them to declare it as $15 (well under £15), as they can tell you are lying if it comes in commercial boxes or with an invoice attached to the box! For example, from HLJ, their boxes give away that they are commercial rather than a gift sender. Ask them to mark it at $15. Toy arena do this for figuarts.
