I know, just thought I would put it out there to try and quell doubts about Vegeta, I mean, if Vegeta was off the table for sdcc because of him being a web exclusive then so is everyone else.

So I've been doing some research on past DBZ figures and statues (Scultures, Irwin, Banpresto stuff ect.) that can scale well with SHfiguarts, and be use as a placeholder until that character is made (if they get made) So how here does this? Or do you exclusively only want figuarts in your collection?

Just official releases for me. No customs, no bootlegs, no outsiders, no nuttin.

Deffo the best point to make Big D! That does seem to utterly nullify the whole web exclusive thing...

Ah well. I'm probably buying any vegeta except arlia and one with correct toes. It'd just look stupid having one correct and one incorrect. Or I'd seriously ask someone to trade me their white feet and I'd give my sdcc ex feet in return. Hm, now tht I think of it that should be an attractive deal for others (I don't care about the feet, I like all white more anyway).

The all white boots is when vegeta fights the androids but the yellow tipped boots is when he fights imperfect cell( bulma made that suit )

Yeah it's accurate, so if you get it, you'll have both of his Cell arc appearances! I want the yellow tips though! I forgot about the Arlia coloring, when I said I wanted all Vegeta's. I have absolutely no interest in that. It was a mistake in the anime and they fixed it with Kai. It seems like something that would be great for SDCC being so niche. The problem for me is that there's only 3 new releases a year, so I don't want anything that niche! If I was willing to buy another scouter Vegeta, I would have gotten it to make it like his Namek appearance, without the flaps. And that was too expensive for me, even though it makes a pretty good deal of difference!

I do exactly that! Honestly, some of the past DBZ figures are just as good as the figuarts but just lack their posability. I'm still waiting for a few more figures even and I just found a very cool stand in for Majin Vegeta I may consider for my collection. I really like how they can flesh out your collection. As it stands, the 10 figuarts already released just don't make for a "collection" in my books.

If the SDCC exclusive is a god damn SS Vegeta I'm gonna be superdupercalafragalistically pissed!

Well, I'm still at it! I've been slooowly chipping away at what I consider to be the most desirable figures from both the Irwin and Jakks Pacific 5" lines. You'd be surprised with just how well many of them display with the figuarts. Some of them, I think, are even are on par with the figuarts. There really are some hidden gems amongst the ranks. If you're looking to expand you figuarts collection further, as I currently am now, look no further! I can't say exactly which of these figures are new to the collection, as it has been a while since I actually took the time to update it. I do still have several other figures that I am now contemplating, either a valid use for or a way to physically squeeze them in there. I really want to do something with Irwin's King Kai and the upcoming SH Figuarts regular Goku. Surely with all those extra faces there is a myriad of possible poses to explore. Can't wait for that ****! Plus, I'm still waiting on a MOC Irwin Dabura and Hercule to arrive in the mail. So there's that to look forward to in the mean time. Not a lot more I can say, I'm afraid. Enjoy!

I like having a smaller collection, because it looks classy. When you group a bunch of figures together, it looks like someone vomited a rainbow of plastic. If you can get a character line up like this:

or

It can look great.

I totally understand what you mean, with it being somewhat of a sea of brightly coloured plastic. I will eventually split the display up into a series of shelves, each featuring characters from a specific saga, allowing for more figures and greater creativity with the poses. I actually happen to have a figures of a lot of those characters, however they don't all mesh quite so well as the few I currently have on display. Unfortunately, I don't think we will ever see a collection exactly like those pictures, as there are no such figures perfectly scaled for figuarts. I mean, the figuarts themselves aren't even ideally scaled with each other - so I'm afraid your fantasy is nothing more than a pipe dream.

That's no fantasy of mine though! I was just showing pics of the line ups. I'm not putting any of my figures in a line up. No way would the villians stand next to the heroes so nicely. I wouldn't even put the the villains together. With all this articulation and accessories, and the price these costs! Line up? Crazy! Although, that's not very practical space wise, but at 3 new releases a year, I think I have time to make it work!

My want for Videl is definitely a pipe dream though! Saiyaman suited SSJ Gohan without cape, my hopes are so high for and they're probably going to be crushed!

Actually it's a big pipe dream that I am not going to end up lining them up, if I got more of these. I have a bunch of DC and Marvel figures that I have a lot of space on my shelf for, but it looks so much nicer with those big gaps of space between them. Once I put them up, it'll look like a mess, so I haven't opened them.

I would take them all in figuarts. I'm not going to over do the sculptures but there is some good stand ins. like 16 I feel like I'll need him once the two others come out. anyway i should actually get all the figuarts out first hahaha.

Yeah, and I want Sharon Stone to have sex with me and then not stab me in the face with an ice-pick. I get the feeling neither of those things will happen. Once we get to Kid Buu it's most probably game over for the DBZ line.

I don't have big shelf too so most of my non figuarts are hidden in a closet. I only got a big collection of goku figures. The stuff on the bottom right are my $$$$ worth of dbz and anime cells.

So... Just a conservative guess, we'd be looking at possibly something like this in the next years...(?)

2014: goku, 18,17,sdcc ex, rereleases, also first year we probably won't get the survey winner (broli?) but I expect therunner up (buu?)
2015: kid buu, an older gohan, broli?, majin vegeta, goten/trunks/gotenks, ssj3 goku rerel/sdcc ex
2016: vegeto, maybe a different era character like nappa if broli does get made to scale... Maybe tien & yamcha

In any case, I don't see anyone like videl or any non-z-fighter in the next years (excluding buu). There's no freakin room with this few releases per year.

They'd better have protos at sdcc.

Awesome observation blood! I would buy them all as well mooncake!

I was just going to ask that Silrian, and I was curious how you're line up prediction changed, from your last one, with the new news! I don't see anyone but popular villains and the main fighters until 2017 at least. I'm not going to stop hoping though, because it's one of the little things that lee me going! Besides Gotenks (Great choice, I just don't like him), I love your line up for 2015, but I think you forgot your conservativeness and went mad with power!

Expect the worst and hope for the best. Then you won't be disappointed!

For the releases we've gotten, I think Tamashii has been making all the right business moves. Although, I don't want Kid Boo, and wanted the Piccolo fused Boo, they'd be making the smart choice, because Kid Boo is far more popular. Although I wish it was Saiyan saga Goku instead, it wasn't a bad choice either releasing the Cell arc version, being that they focused the most on that arc, and it'll save them a lot of money on tooling. I think they've been doing a great job! Just give at least one more release a year, to keep people invested though!

Absolutely right Bane; they seem to always do one fan favourite, one sought after, and one surprise release, as well as rereleases etc. Some of us may not like the decisions, but for the majority its what was best.

Yeah that about sums my expectations up. I just really wonder whether we'll see kid buu at the end of this year, I highly doubt it unfortunately.
My most conservative guess is this:
2014: Goku, 18, 17
2015: Kid Buu, Majin Vegeta, 1 of either Vegeto/Gotenks(duo)/Broli.

It'd kinda suck to be stuck at 3 new releases per year though. But at least it'd still be going.
