Yeah, that would have been a great "what if" story for Akira Toriyama to do. Anyway, back to what Silrian was saying about A17. I would love if A17 came with an alternate head for Piccolo with a smirk. A18 gets a Krillin head, so why not? (Haha). All he really needs is a few faces, hands, and crossed arms. So he'll be light on accessories so I hope he has something special. I guess we'll know later tonight if Bandai releases the rest of his promo pictures.

The best alternate timeline change in DBZ is and will always be 'What if Piccolo had fused with Kami on Namek?' for me.

I wanna see Frieza be utterly slaughtered by Super Namekian.

21st Tournament- Goku vs Jackie Chun, Goku vs Krillin, Goku vs Giran, Goku vs Nam, 22nd Tournamen- Goku vs Tien, Goku vs King Piccolo round 2, 23rd Tournament-Goku vs Piccolo, and Goku vs Majin Vegeta were all equal.

Goku had a lot of even matches! Vegeta vs Goku, Gohan, Krillin, and Yajirobe was an even fight in terms of power, but not number.

Nah, a lot of those weren't equal fights. Especially not Majin Vegeta vs Goku(ss3). The Dragonball fights usually had someone holding back for the majority of the fight, i.e. Jackie Chun, Tien, Piccolo, until they realized "Maybe I should take this kids a little more seriously." It seemed to be the cliche event in most, if not all major DB fights.

Any guesses at what effects parts these guys (A17 and A18) are going to come with? all the newer DBZ figuarts comes with effects parts correct? I love Effect parts hehe.

18 doesnt come with effect parts, she does however come with an extra face for krillin and hand for him with the deactivation remote.

Wouldn't that have been insane? It would have completely changed how events transpired. Krillin and Vegeta probably wouldn't have died, and Goku wouldn't have become a SSJ. The Saiyans power development would have been slowed significantly, because they wouldn't have realized what it took to become a SSJ. Eventually Goku would have a break through, but it would be much later. One could assume Piccolo would continue to train, so by the time the Androids should up he would have been able to demolish them. That would have prevented Cell from obtaining his Perfect Form. If something did happened and he absorbed Android 17 or Android 18 before Piccolo could destroy them, the Z fighters combined would have been able to defeat him most likely. Essentially, no one would be a major threat until Majin Buu. How events were effected in the peace time between Cell & Buu is more difficult to predict. However, assuming Goku never died in the fight with Cell, I think it's likely that Gohan would develop more as a fighter than a scholar with Goku's strong influence. Likely leading to an even stronger, more balanced team of Z fighters. So basically.. Piccolo fusing with Kame during the Namek Saga could hypothetically have been the single greatest event in the history of Dragon Ball Z. That is such an amazing idea to muse over! Just amazing.

Those are all cool theories, and if you like "what if" situations, check out dragon ball multiverse its an ongoing comic fan made and extremely well done they have tons of diff situations such as what if everyone on namek fused to nail when frieza arrived and nail destroys them like its nothing along with cell and buu eventually in his universe and a what if situation with goku never hittin his head and killing everyone on earth and joinin vegeta nappa an raditz eventually and so on

Well, anyways, the rolled up sleeved arms and a Piccolo head would be great! It's not necessary, but I thought it was really cool, when Piccolo stripped off his weighted clothes, and 18, rolled his sleeves and waved him over to fight. "Very well, let's see what you got."

Well said Sci, I love the thatyou took Goku's presence over Gohan into ccount. However, I did somewhat make the same timeline and concluded Majin Buu would've killed everyone.

I don't think Goku could've attained ssj without a loss like on namek, and vegeta wouldn't have understood wht it was had he not seen Goku do it, I think.

But. how about this? If super namekian was there to crush theandroids... Future trunks' timeline wouldn't have existed as such! They wouldn't lose that battle. But then trunks never came back to warn them, however (here's the kicker) Cell WOULD have gone back in time. So the question is whether cell could've reached the androids sooner than the z fighters, when they won't about them yet?

Possibly a perfect cell wouldve destroyed them after all?

Still the best alt timeline change imo.

What if Raditz had his scouter die on low batteries?

Ooh, I didn't think about that Silrian. However, what if Trunks still went back in time to give Goku the heart medicine? So he would have traveled back before Cell still. Still, I think the possibility of Cell doing what you suggest is high too. Maybe like 50/50, could go either way sort of thing? lol.

Also.. the present time-line and future time-line were different as a result of one minor change. So who knows how the time-line would have been affected by Piccolo and Kami fusing during the Namek Saga. There's a possibility that the Android's would have been completed different, and Cell might not have been developed. Who knows?

Hmmm, maybe Goku never would have become a SSJ. What I could see happening, is during the Majin Buu saga someone becoming a SSJ because Buu overpowered everyone. It would be like the Future Android time line all over again, necessitating another time travel event. However, I don't know what they could do at that point to power up enough to defeat Dabura and co., let alone Buu.

I like that one about Raditz's scouter. That's great. I think that would have simply delayed Vegeta & Nappa from going to Earth. I think they would have eventually to discover why Raditz was defeated, since he would have never contacted them or returned "home". Leading to either Vegeta & Nappa being able to easily over power the Z Fighters, or the other way around depending on what Raditz would have said before he died. So much potential.. damn. I should read those comics. lol.

I like that about DC, they fiddle around with the alternte timeline stuff pretty great.

Par example Flashpoint Paradox was awesome. Flash travels through time but it cause a ripple effect and one of the sickest things was that Batman

wasn't bruce but thomas! Not his parents but just bruce got killed. Thomas went berserk and became killing batman and than the sickest (though unexplored) part: martha wayne went crazy and became a female joker!

Wasn't an important plotpoint but the idea was thrilling imo.

I still mostly just want an alternate buu saga were the tournament wasn't interupted and we'd truly get a real tournament with a victor. And where then supreme kai showed up to ask for help with dabura attacking the kai planet via a demon called "Buu". I need to shut up about that though, I just can't stand how awesome that would've been to me. I might just start deluding myself into thinking that's what happened so I can appreciate the Buu period characters more.

Still psyched about 17, man his face does look way better, effin perfect. That cold scary demeaner is definitely there.

All right I'm back with some pics as promised. Here's the obligatory shots of my current display(s):

I change them around pretty often though.

Knockoff Vegeta Pics/mini review:
This is the one you've been seeing pop up on eBay and Amazon now some offered with the folded arms or custom Trunks head. It is manufactured by a company called "Da Tong" in china and is a near identical copy of the legit release. There are some blatantly obvious ways to distinguish the 2 from each other. The things you've probably already noticed are the boot tips having no painted detail whatsoever, the colors/shading of the paint and the quality of the paint job. There's a few other things I'll point out later.


Some box comparison shots. Clearly, it's a scanned and printed copy of the original box with minor adjustments. There was some paint transfer to the packaging from Vegeta's hair but it's not that noticeable on the figure. It came with instructions which are again a modified scan of the original but they also include an ad for a bootleg version of the Saint Seiya Myth Cloth stand. I included a pic of the back of the instructions which has some of the blue paint from the figure on them. Also, the silver insert in the back of the box is there but it's more of a duller gray than silver.



Here are the figures side by side, legit on the right KO on the left. As you can see, the KO's torso is separated on one side and no amount of squeezing would push it together. Both shoulder straps on the KO came off upon removing the fig from the packaging. I promptly super-glued them back on without incident. It appears to me that the sculpting of the hair is slightly different from the original. It's almost like the hair on the original stands up straighter. The hair is missing all white detailing as well. While the Da Tong figure has all the same articulation, I think the joints in the legs, possibly the elbows are also slightly different. The back of the armor on the legit Vegeta has rounded detail to the yellow painted area where the KO is completely flat. The KO hands are painted with darker or more paint. Two more dead give-aways for the bootleg are the white neck peg and no writing on the bottom of the feet.

All in all it's not bad for customs, replacement parts or a body to put that new Trunks head on. I paid $40 with shipping and I feel like I overpaid by $20 because of all of the defects. It feels like it was made out of parts that failed quality control at BanDai.

Although I love the idea of Dabura being the main villain way more and all the plot points we discussed, if I HAD to keep Boo as the villain, in my imaginary scenario, I say keep him as one form and make him like a Mr. Mxyzptlk devoid of any conscious. That way, there would be no need for new SSJ forms and could just rely on strategy, and everyone could be involved, and all the people Goku met throughout Dragon Ball, like Android 8, Uupa, Nam, Lunch, Upa, Arale, could make small cameos like the Spirit Ball scene. Toryiama could have gone crazy with his imagination! For those who don't know, Mr. Mxyzptlk is a fifth dimensional imp with the power to do pretty much anything he can imagine. I don't remember, but I think he's immortal, or at least lives for a long time. He was bored for being so good for a thousand years, and decides to be mischevious, and goes to our dimension to try to mess with Superman as best he can, making his life hell. However, he doesn't kill, he usually just changes people into animals or puts them in other undignified places. If Boo was like that, but evil, I think it would have been much better.

I hope it's no later than that as well. I'm looking forward to having both 17 & 18 in my collection, and having 18 will make me want 17 all the more.
