Also, in regards to SDCC, I'm just going off that "talk" that there would be no more repaints. We'll have to see if that holds up though. They would be insane to do Majin Vegeta as an exclusive, but I could see that happening. If they do actually stick to repaints, then it's pretty wide open. People have to remember that Bluefin values their collector market to a point that they won't bring more product out if it compromises the integrity of a product they've already released. So it's double sided sword y'know? Vegeta or no Vegeta.. How do they not upset people.

Don't get your hopes up man, it's not going to be any different. If anything, I think they are moving towards showing less these days. That way they can avoid the online collector community backlash when they can a proto or something related. Thank the online collector community having such an impact on collector companies sales, that a little negativity can go a long way. As well as vise versa. The power of instant knowledge dispersal via word of mouth online to thousands of people in an short period of time.. It's changed things, some for the best and for the worst.

Come SDCC we'll probably see two new SHF figures for 2015 and something from Figuarts Zero DBZ. Maybe one more new figure for 2014.

i think im with the minority here when i say that i prefer the prototype... I prefer the shape of the head on this new ones but the eyes look off.

Id say his eyes are perfect in that pic, whats putting me off slightly is the size of his forehead, but again, I'll chalk that up to the way he is standing. We will see when his other promo pics are put up on the 25th.

Dam I was really hoping for new 17 pics today, is it likely that those will come out when 17 is officially announced? Also you aren't alone Ima the shape of 17's head looks quite odd to me other than that its great, I just prefer the prototype

The protos forehead is better but his cheeks are too chubby, the opposite seems true for the final, at least for that promo pic.

17's always has a pretty big forehead though. I don't think it's too big. Rather, I think the angle is accentuating his widows peak and hair part making it look a bit odd. So just like you said before BD, I think it's the way he's standing. I still think his eyes are perfect too. Rather than post pictures, I say just go google 17 and compare pics. There are the average DBZ inconsistencies but I think in this case Bandai nailed it. If his forehead is a bit long, then hopefully Bandai will address that as this is still just a proto. If anything, lowering the hair probably won't be too hard.

you know as much as I've complained about prototypes in the past (not that anyone really remembers my complaints) I actually prefer the final version this time around. Something seemed off on the 17 prototype...I had the same complaints every else had about the chubby face. The only complaint I'd even have now has to do with the arms...they seemed long on the prototype and it looks like they're still the same length. Hardly a major flaw, just a little annoying.

HIGHLY doubt we'll see more than 2 prototypes. I suspect we'll see a kid buu and one new z-fighter to pair him with. But maybe even just kid buu.
And what you said about collector backlash definitely is the crux of the matter I'd say. In fact, the poster boy for this is without a doubt Nappa. Clearly they've been VERY taken a back by the response to Nappa and seem to have exerted that into a much more shy approach. We were told via Pwn that they already have MANY new prototypes, so it seems a simple conclusion that they've become more reluctant about showing things, fearing collectors will then start demanding it. Which just isn't the way production companies tend to work, commercially. As we were also told via Pwn, they have their own internal structure to determine releases. So yeah think that's dead on Sci.

See? There you can see exactly what I mean: he can't actually, decently crouch down because his shoelace sculpt impedes the the feet articulation from making the angle small enough. I think this is my major critique on the SHF articulation, almost all releases suffer from this and it kinda sucks, because shrinking the angle between foot and shin is quite necessary in many martial arts poses.

Where do you see that? I see 17 in the title, 4104 in the subtitle, and 17 and 18 both once in the text...

EDIT: granted I do think september is very viable. But if true I think Kid Buu well become december/january like Cell.

Cell didnt get released in dec/january i received my cell in end of october, so 17 im assuming will be released around the same time

Later than 17 at the beginning of the next phrase you can see a 9, this is the month of the release. In Naruto and Sailor Moon figuarts you can see a 7 because they will be released in July

Thats not a 9 its clearly a letter in japanese. The numbers are also shown much larger than the text..

No I think atticus is right buddy, Naruto and the sailor figure both have a 7 where atticus shows the 9 on 17.

Also, 17s forehead is much better on that pic, I am glad what I thought was correct earlier.
