All the Roshi students wear all the same gi... so why did they choose to make so many of the gis different colors?

to show how long you've been a student, the darker the longer

This is all because of those manga people, ugh, they come into our land, smuggle people over the border and come in and paint our figures and take our jobs and ruin our economy, god DAMNIT. Let's march in front of Tamashii HQ with protest signs saying GOD HATES MANGA COLOURS!

On a more serious note, Blood, I never wanted Goku rushed, I never went out on facebook and screamed my head of. So 'xcuse me while I enjoy my moaning.

Then again, I never would've gotten into this line if they'd stayed in manga colour scheme anyway, it's Trunks and sdcc Gohan that pulled me in. And this is a pre-anime colour release, essentially.

F me man this franchise is effin horribly divided in its target audience. It's a nightmare.

Finally someone has him in hand, amd we still dont see the box?

His gi is off, but as you say silrian, hes essentially not been changed since he was shown years ago, so he is still manga. It matches with manga ssj Goku at least....


I definitely see an sdcc reissue in this figures future, to appeal to the sdcc ssj owners....

No just kidding, I'm glad for those who like him, and I guess he's okay.

But could somebody tell me whether it's easy to repaint these figures? Cause I think I will try that, seems simple enough to find a descent shade of red and blue considering I'm just darkening existing colours. Fan, you mentioned warhammer paint?

So fellas, remember that custom Majin Vegeta that was on ebay a lil while back? I bought it, and i gotta say, it displays pretty good with the others (it's just too bad that the creator fudged up on the battle-damaged clothing; the ripped leg is supposed to be on the other leg, but it's no big deal). I think it's a nice substitute until they release an official Majin Vegeta. What you guys think?

Here you go! I just ordered one from ebay, so hopefully he'll arrive in the next two or so weeks. I'll be sure to post a comparison between SDCC and Krillin, when he arrives

Btw does any one know of any paints that would be good to keep that translucent effect on the kamehameha bc I'm thinking of repainting it , I hate that they changed it

well i added my patch of grass that i normally use for photos and im liking it!

now i need to buy another one though and i need smoke effect! :/

He's probably right. Looks pretty cool. Mostly makes me want official battle damaged versions.

Have you tried using Cell's energy effects the way you use ssj3 goku's? They have tiny rocks in them.

Wow, congratulations Tamashii, I swear to god (get it?) this is the ugliest combination of package and figure they've released thus far.

They should've equipped his "NOT GOOD!" face in the packaging.

Goku's gi is slightly darker than the promo pics (thank God) but I just wish it matched Krillin's

If you guys remember, I complained about Krillin's gi being too dark when he was first shown. Everyone forgot how light normal Goku's gi was at the time and thought it was nbd. People didn't catch up until they saw Goku displayed much much later, side by side with Krillin. I totally called it though.

Silrian, you can dye Goku, instead of painting him. just separate the pieces, put some kind of covering over the spots you don't want to dye. dip him for a little while, and BOOM darker gi.

I hear Rit makes some good stuff for this

Tamiya makes clear coat paint,

you could also dye the piece as I suggested to Silrian for Goku's gi.
