S.H.FiguArts Dragonball Z figures!!!

Anyone else have any of the build your own DBZ model kits that came out years ago? Both Bandai and Irwin released them in Japan and in the U.S. I have mine in storage, but wanted to get an idea of how big they were compared to the figuarys figures. Would be nice to see the model kit and figuart of the same character side by side (ex. Goku, Trunks, Piccolo, or Perfect cell). Thanks in advance

I also realized how much they toned down Goku's charging effect compared to the proto pics. Canofbeams will probably drop a better one soon enough though. Anyone here order anything from there?

I have the Special Bean Cannon for my Pickles. I am satisfied with the result. It's not as accurate as the Tamashii one [that they refuse to release] but it's good enough

Yeah I know Blood, I don't have a camera, just my phone. And I still think it's great that I can get to this point with a phone. I don't have the physical eyes to be a good photographer anyway, to my own displeasure.

That is your personal opinion, opinion made of ignorance, don't judge a book by his cover. Sailor Moon has great story behind. It can be funny, serious and sad in the same time. Pretty epic stuff.

As long as it can make you only somewhat doubt whether it's a phone or a camera is enough of an accomplishment for me.

Of course I'm ignorant on sailor moon, but that realisation doesn't change my opinion that it looks like one massive pile of fan-service.

Oh for sure dude, Sailor Moon is totes pervy. I think that's the idea. The show is so gosh darn terribly written and the character design leaves a lot to be desired. Silarian, I think you're forgetting on key aspect; it's freaking Sailor Moon dude! It was a huge phenomenon, much like Z bitd and almost as big as Pokemon was in its height of popularity. It was the first anime to actually feature strong female characters that kick butt and it really hit the big time with young western female viewers. It was also rather unexpectedly popular amongst teenage boys, for obvious reasons. The show basically has cult status worldwide, everyone under thirty knows Sailor Moon; she's a pop culture superstar. I like it because of all the atrocious 90's lingo, that really takes me back. How could I ever have forgotten the term mega-dweeb or creep-a-zoid?! I remember Sailor Moon was always before DBZ on the morning kids broadcast and I'd usually just sit through it to get to my daily fix of Z. Ahh, the good old days!

I can remember sailor moon airing here when I was young, like 10 and even then thinking something wasnt right about it, now you realise its about teens in the skimpiest japanese schoolgirl outfits imaginable fighting bad guys.

Its like those that like my little pony, its just weird to me. Nothing against those that do watch and enjoy those shows, its up to you what you watch but it just doesnt seem right to me.

@crisis: That surprises me. From the pics I remember seeing, the Bandai ones looked more crooked. I might be remembering that backwards though...

I must confess, when I was younger Sailor Moon would come on TV at like 6AM followed by DBZ (and on occasion, Samurai Pizza Cats), right before the bus picked me up for school. Straight-up mid 90s throwback right there! And I, too, would often be suddenly stricken with curious rigor mortis in my nether regions whilst watching Serena & the Sailor Scouts fight Queen Beryl in provocative outfits



and my weekends would start off beautifully with this gem of a show
