I was born in '70, my first contact with Goku / Dragonball was in the manga (Weekly Shōnen Jump), thanks to a good friend who was learning the Japanese language.

1988 here! DBZ for me was coming home from school in the mid-late 90's watching it on Cartoon Network from 4:30pm-5:30pm. I remember for almost all of 6th grade that Goku was running towards King Ki... Forever!!!

EXACTLY my experience, though I'm from '89. But exactly that, remember exactly that specific thing very vividly.

Yep! That's probably why I like Radditz, Nappa, and Vegeta so much, because I watched their fights for a solid year! Good times. Running home from the bus to watch a rerun and a new episode.

But yeah, my highest nostalgia is definitely for everything up to and with Namek. I saw the android period quite a few years later on a different channel.

I was born in 85 and I came up on classic 90s DBZ, when it used to air at 6AM on weekdays following Sailor Moon. Sorry KAI fans, but Brian Drummond will always be the most iconic voice for Vegeta

I think we can all agree Kai has only one good new voice: Freiza. Bulma is ok, Gohan is awful but Frieza is gold. Also he sounds like Little Kuriboh too!

I could go either way with Vegeta, I just prefer Chris due to growing up with it and his tone.

The Kai Frieza take inspiration from the Japanese dub, which I like. But I have a special place in my heart for Linda Young's performance. Still to this day, her Frieza is the most imitated impression in my family and friends. (Oh God, the insides jokes we've had using her Frieza voice. So much win, so much win)

Oh man, I think I remember that. My brother was like "What the heck! Tien doesn't sound like that!!!" That was so random, I can't remember how we saw that though :/
