After seeing these figurines in a couple of guys collections I picked them up off ebay. They arrived today and close up they look awful to me, poor plastic and shocking paint Cost me about £10 for a pack of 4 figurines. Have I been sold some cheap knock offs here?





Not sure how clear it is in the photo but Chiaotzu has lumps in the paint that make it look grainy.

EDIT: Want to exchange them but not if they all look like this. If so I'll just try for a refund

Damn you've certainly continued collecting, you wanted an authentic vegeta still, even with the pm rerelease? And yeah I think I literally can't entirely imagine what setting up a production company entails. What type of genres do you wanna produce?

So far any genre. But this project's genre is Action Adventure, Romance, Comedy.

Yeah I suspected they were knock off because the quality was piss poor in pretty much every area. Seller had 99% feedback though so I thought it was worth a try. Guess I should have just gone with my gut and realised the price was too good to be true

I'm sure ebay will refund me, off I go to file a claim

The Gohan could be touched up with some paint, but that Chaotzu..... dear God it looks like they ran out of hobby paint and just used cheap acrylic out a bottle

Thats unfortunate man, hope you get your money back! eBays usually good with regards to bootlegs though!

Thanks for the idea but I've tried customising figures in the past, I'm not too good at it I'm sure I'll get my money back as they didn't mention or even allude to it being KO in the description and the pictures looked very different to what I received. Just hope I don't have to pay to ship it back. Only cost me £20 for 8 of those things and it'd probably cost me almost as much as that in postage from the UK to China.

On the plus side I finally managed to pick up SDCC Goku for £108 including shipping I had set my limit at £100 but there was no way I was going to get it for that much shipped to the UK anytime soon Now I just have to wait patiently for it to arrive

After spelling it out for you a second time without that one little word you felt warranted ignoring everything I said, you still don't have a descent reply to my innitial arguments.

Before you say you're willing to debate in a respectful manner, you may wanna show you can properly debate in the first place. And you put this whole thing on me? Seems the thread got a bit derailed while I was at work, for that I am sorry. I guess my simple reply was not in depth for some people, again, was at work, made a quick reply on my phone, and left it at that. On the subject on why I stated that the dub score was disrespectful, was because of how the original feelings and intent of certain scenes seems lost on the old dub score. Take the scene when Goku becomes super saiyan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hw3r0EmHq5w or when he goes super saiyan 3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzFUN4CxLww These scenes, especially the super saiyan 3 transformation, features a great build up leading to the grand unveiling of Goku's new form. When he first goes super saiyan, the music perfectly captures why the sense of dread, and shock as to what is about to happen to Goku at this point. The reason I said that it is disrespectful is because, to me, that score removes all of that tension, and sounds like any old Saturday morning cartoon . Not just those scenes, but others as well. Those in particular stick out like a sore thumb for me, especially the namek scene, as that was a big turning point in the entire series. Yeah, a lot of people were involved with the old score, sure, I can admit that some passion might have gone into the work, but they were the wrong fit. It seems more like an afterthought. Maybe disrespectful was a wrong term, misdirected seems suffice for words. Their music just doesn't fit the series as a whole, in my opinion. Those are my thoughts, as clear as I can put them.

Didn't mean to derail the thread for that brief moment, but I stick by words, and that is that. If you want to reply, lets leave it as a pm. Again, I'll leave my further thoughts on the old dub to myself, and just continue to leave further comments on the figures whenever I have the time. I'll talk anime over at Kazenshuu.

I've never heard of ekingknightmedia. But I'll have to check them out. But when I do get some preorders in I'll probably go with toyz.
