can you provide more info? the only way that would happen in my experience is if you ordered an instock item with a pre order item that wasnt ready to ship, they dont do private warehouse to would ship them separately, thus requiring more shipping

That's not what happened to me, was a preorder situation. I did a combo order w people for the Unite Warriors Devastator and preordered 3 of them. When it came into stock they asked for like another $10-15 or whatever for shipping. I get it's a big item but they seem to know how big everything is and they charge a lot more than the actual shipping, so it rubbed me the wrong way. They're only a last resort for web exclusives for me basically now.

I don't know if I am falling for this again. Both my Figuarts Homecoming and Iron Spider, I ended up also buying the Mafex because it looked better. I don't have the Mafex IS yet but the HC Mafex blows away the Figuarts one.

That is definitely the best Figuarts Spider-Man but you can tell it’s based on early concept art. I’ll wait for the mafex...again.

Figuarts definitely need to add celebrity headsculpts again. I'm glad they're adding it to the new Ant-Man, but Spider-Man, War Machine, and Black Panther (plus whoever else I forgot) need their headsculpts! To me, that's one of the main selling points because I love headsculpts based on famous people. The third party heads are cool but they usually get sold out fast and they seem to cost as much as one entire Figuarts toy since they're so limited.

I got a refund from Nippon Yasan after escalating the paypal case. Won't go there again, I'd rather give BBTS an extra $40 than have the hassle.

I’ve never had issues with Nippon Yasan. Yes, their shipping prices are rough but I order multiples and it balances out to still be cheaper. I do agree they have some shoddy practices like jacking up prices...but they’ve never cancelled anything on me or anything like what’s happened to you all. Sorry to hear about it. I don’t buy from them frequently (usually only Japanese only stuff like the Figuarts because I don’t care for the US releases with extra accessories).

Interesting note - looks like cdjapan is becoming like NY. They reopened their Endgame figuarts and jacked up the prices...didn’t really notice that until now and seems they’ve done it with other figures too.

Edit - it’s this whole “proxy” searching they have on their site now... it’s like they buy it for you from “somewhere else” but the additional cost is on you.

It could be their proxy shopping service listing that you're looking. It's more expensive than their direct listings.

Got in Carol (from N-Y), she looks great. BUT the neck post on mine is kinda annoying. The neck and head fit on, but easily pop off when posing.
Other than that, I didn't see any issues.
