I don't have the 46 yet. For those who do have it, how's the proportions? From the photos, it looks like the shoulders and torso are huge.

The head is too small. Feet too, I think. Maybe the arms as well. I've got mine posed mid fight with Cap, and while it's not noticeable immediately, you eventually realize there is no way a human head can fit inside.

The shoulders do pull out, so maybe that's what you're seeing.

Is anybody else just over the SHF Iron Man figures at this point? I've already paid for the Mark 46, I'll have it shipped out with Ant-Man once he's released - but after seeing some reviews it just seems like a retread of the 45, which in turn seemed like a step backwards engineering-wise from the VI, War Machine and 42/43. The VI is actually still my favourite, honestly.

I've preordered the Mark III, but of that's not a step up, I'm done. I'll give Comicave and Sentinel Re:Edit a chance instead.

Thanks. Yeah had does seem a little too small haha.

Also, my main issue with the Mark 6 is it's proportions. It looks out of place with the other Iron Men. I'll probably keep on collecting Iron Man SHFs as well :D

The head is too small.

Almost every Iron Man ever. Hot Toys, SHF...most of the releases look like robots rather than a guy in a suit. Given the CG suits and the artistic approach they took to representing Iron Man on screen, I expect it to be implausibly sleek and compact, but the toys tend to underscale the proportions, IMO.

I noticed the SHF Mark 43's head was a little small, but the 46 looked worse to me. Maybe because the shoulders and chest are bulkier. Also wasn't a fan of the knee joints or ankle articulation on 46; so I sold it on.

I have the Mark III pre-ordered, and other than it looks too slim (again) the proportions of body parts to each other look better so far, and it's from a great film, so that may be my default 6" armour.

I would love for another higher-end manufacturer to give us a Mark III, IV or VI in this scale with better proportions. SHF is my favourite brand overall, but they do have their misses.

I know what you mean, but the 46 seems like the only real misstep. I'm still curious to see how the marks 1-7 turn out, as the Mark III looks pretty good so far.

Figuarts do feel a little lackluster without any lights, considering Comicave, Sentinel, and King Arts all include them. I just got my first KA figure, the Mark 37 Hammerhead, and it's a very cool figure. I have my eye on their Mark 46 which looks promising. Not planning to get HB but he also looks impressive.

I like cherry picking the best figures from different lines and I'm glad for all the choices so I won't let a bad release or two sour my opinion of a company.

Has anyone received their Mafex MK43?

Waiting to hear people's thoughts on this figure. They seem to have done some pretty interesting engineering particularly the hips/crotch area:

The whole section seem to collapse to get the thigh to swing forward. I'm liking it as it looks more natural than the pull-down joint that most companies like bandai are doing.

Has anyone bought one of those knockoff figuarts iron man(s?) yet? They come in both mark42 and mark43 colour schemes. They come with the pre order bonus sofa (which you can get on its own for under $10 btw). Curious on the quality of these, because it may be perfect for a custom i have in mind (also i just wanna get a figuarts iron man, but they're way too expensive at the moment)

Why? Save up and get the real thing, you'll regret getting the bootlegs for sure.

For customs they would be perfect though. Don't really want to spend heaps of money on an official one when it's just going to be sculpted and painted over.
Also I'm just kind of interested in how they turned out, considering how so many people have bought the hulk one and love it :D

I have a bootleg 43 I bought by mistake. The sculpt seems fine but the paint is pretty bad. It would be interesting to see how good it would look with a repaint. I'll sell it to you if you are interested.

Can anybody recommend a good site to pre-order the Mark 3 from? I usually order from MHToyshop, but they have it priced at $65, which seems a bit high to me (lower than BBTS, but still high). I know there's got to be a site or two that has them cheaper.

I got mine pre-ordered at HLJ for about $47 not including shipping. The pre-order is currently closed but it reopens every now and then. I found this website called figinstock.com from another forum that tracks availability for whatever item you're looking for from a couple of different websites like HLJ and amiami. You sign up, add in the items you want it to track and they'll send you an email if it's in stock. Already tried it on a couple of sold out items and it works!
