Meh, I don't care about the Akiba Ranger chest piece. Yeah, Super Sentai is awesome, but I'm not buying these figures because of that. Power Rangers nostaglia 100% this time around, lol.

...ok.. i did some more reading about Akiba rangers.. they just went from " do i want this?" to I WANT THIS.

It's a Parody of the show. This is why the american Rangers show up in it from time to time. the "team" consists of a Sentai otaku, a cosplay otaku, and an animae otaku. Their powers don't realy exist. they just IMAGINE they have them, and make up the fights. They do this to deal with " imagined threats" that cause real world problems, like blackouts and etc. They Do this in part as an attempt to get Noticed, and become an actual Sentai show by the characters in it.
It's all humor, and IT's bat**** insane, and a hilarious concept.
Just bought Akiba Red.

Having seen the first series I heartily agree... this show is awesome and VERY funny, especially if you are familiar with the normal tropes of Sentai....

A Dragonzord would be awesome! I was disappointed when they didn't release a new whole size Dragonzord with Megazord that came out a few years ago!

Just got my Legacy Morpher in the mail. Ive wanted one of these things since I was five, so im really excited to finally have one.

Now I just have to track down a Green Ranger power coin.

Ive seen about 20 series of Sentai and Akibaranger is soooo damned entertaining. It is a parody, but it is its own show. Its very whacky but at the same time theres good story and i dont think ive ever felt as sorry as i did for Akiba yellows reasons for wanting to black out and pretend she is a hero. Its also short and sweet so if you are not on board with the show you can power through it to know the story.

Wouldnt buy the figures, but i am tempted by the 12" Akiba rangers they are making.

I believe you are mistaken sir. There are quite a few customs out there, but the morpher itself is a toys r us exclusive. And the biggest complaint I'm herding is no dragonzord or tigerzord coin.

Yeah theres never been an official Tigerzord coin only the "angry cat" one. The Dragon Buckler in Japan had a real dragon coin but thats never been to the states. Best thing to do is order the custom coins and get a repaint of the Morpher if you want Tommys

I'm not familiar with these at all but they look insanely good. Hopefully they give MMPR/Zyuranger the same treatment.

I hope Bandai Premium Model do make the MMPR Ranger teams. The Akibaranger figures look filled out nicely. Medicom do a pretty flawless Job on the Kamen Riders but that works because they use skinny bodies with armor on top. The Rangers all look like they need a bulkier body from medicom.
