Yea true, but will still looks awesome....

Re: S.H. Figurarts Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

I just found these pics... Red Dragon Thunderzord in both Forms....

eyGgl.jpg

Oh man, the Red Dragon Thunderzord looks cool, maybe it can transform from dragon to robot. How tall are these zords again, are they like 5 inches or 6?

Re: S.H. Figurarts Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

The lack of ability to take apart/ transform the zords is a deal breaker for me. Even the cheap toys back in the day had this ability. Given how expensive this line is, they should have given the figuart zords this ability

Re: S.H. Figurarts Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

We're talking about a figure that's not even a full 6 inches. Do you really expect something of that size to be fully transformable? Not to mention in making it fully transformable the price goes way up (it's already expensive enough as it is), it stands to lose poseabilty, and the sculpt would suffer as well.

Takara and Hasbro can do it. :)

Why haven't zords been bigger, though? I realize they probably still wouldn't be in scale with the figures, but still.

Did you own any of the originals? I had every single one of them for about 15 years at one point and all but a select few were completely off in terms of proportions and had little to no articulation because they transformed. This line is all about making the zords look show accurate, and to have fighting articulation. Thats never going to happen with the transformation ability. You even see in the show that once the megazords are formed the proportions of all their component zords around it are completely different to their individual form. You couldnt even turn the heads ( which were pin headed) or move their legs or hips or anything other than swing the arms around for Zords that transformed.

These figures would look terrible if they had the ability to transform.

Re: S.H. Figurarts Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

Must...resist...must...resist!!

I wrote it that way on purpose. PLease, don't resist. give in to your baser nature. I've been waiting to see HOW long it takes for one perverse enough to take the bate.

Not really, no they shouldn't.

And that's why. Figurarts, monsterarts, D-arts, and robot damashi are about Making them as Show/manga/character accurate as possible, and being HIGHLY poseable. Adding transformations means making compramises. Don't believe me? Revoltech made fully transformable revoltech Varatech jet fighters a while back... and they are universaly LOATHED as the some of the WORST versions of the Varatech ever produced in any scale.

The COULD make individual Zords that transform, that are 6 inches each, but compramises would have to be made, and the combined mode, Or the individual Zords would suffer. one or the other.
And that's not what this toyline is about.

Moving along... i wonder what the ods are of getting the ninja rangers are...

Re: S.H. Figurarts Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

The Kakurangers should be next in line logically after the Dairangers (unless you mean the mmpr Ninjetti)

Actually thats a wonder, whats the chances we could see the Metallic armor MMPR variants? They were just a literally repaint after all. They could make for some cool exclusives.

But yeah I dont think it's a good idea for the zords to be able to transform

I'd LOVE to see those as figurats.. but i doubt we will see them :lol the ninjetti was a purely amercian idea, right? or was there a Sentai it was from?

speaking of redo's.. as terrible as the out of Canon Movie was, I'd love to see those designs get figurarts too.

Shame THOSE costumes didn't get used in the series as armor, instead of the Glitter that Was used.

TRUE, but Wing Zero and Epyion are less true transformations, and more a highly poseable robot doing yoga.

Well, in Kakurangers (which would be the Alien Rangers) they did wear similar ninja outfits. Well, ninja style outfits but they wernt directly stolen. Its kinda so-so on it being " original ". The Kakurangers had ninja suits between being casual and rangers but they were not the same as we got for Ninjetti
