Despite of Hasbro getting a little hate here and there, their figures are cheap as hell to make, and they sell them for NECA prices and other standard 6" American figures when they're clearly below the benchmark and they sell, they sell well, they're not going out of business any time soon.

I ****ing rage every time they reduce articulation on the Universe line and when someone asks why, their answer is "le budget".

**** you Hasbro! **** you.

Im really curious to see how the 5 poa small figures do for this movie release. I personally believe it will fail, cause kids arent stupid and want good toys. however I also know adult who buy that ****, beats the hell out of me :lol

I know right? But movies often come with ****** happy meal toy lines, I expect a proper 3.75" line, their black series for that scale isn't terrible, it's almost as good as Kenner's vintage line for what I've seen.

Their Darth Plagueis is really nice.

Well I guess they could do a proper 3 3/4 line between sept 4 then and december, but its not looking too likely, I dont think weve even seen prototypes of anything

My Luke fig is still at Langley. Never heard of it before so I googled it. Now preparing myself for a long wait and fingers crossed to get him in one piece. Anyone had experience with Registered SAL from Japan?

Definitely paying more for delivery next time.

Edit: Got in from work and he was on my desk waiting for me! Nice surprise :)
The figure is awesome. I need to get some battery's for my camera and get some photos .

****, then I'm ancient. The Phantom Menace came out when I was 13/14. I remember going to the Century theaters in San Jose when a blockbuster was exactly that...a BLOCKBUSTER. There was a line around the parking lot and down the street; people BBQing, tailgating, dressed in costumes (hell before cos-play was even a thing). Even the local news stations came out to interview people watching the first screenings of opening day since there wasn't such a thing as a major comic-con trailer or small tidbit releases here and there. For the most part it was a complete surprise what it was about.

Thats something you don't see anymore....sadly.

Very sadly. I miss those days. I was 14 when Phantom Menace came out as well. Waited in a huuuuuge line at Universal (Cineplex Odeon back then). Line was so big they had to open it up into the theme park. I've blocked out my feelings of watching the movie and the aftermath, but man I remember the excitement of waiting to see it.

Finally found a good base to pose him with

The Black Series is not all bad IMO

The lightsaber is some of the best 1/12 scale sabers I've ever seen for this sized figure

Hmmm, block in what sense? Cause no matter how bad people wanna perceive anything PT, for me Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon vs Darth Maul – basically anything with any of those 3 in action – is a highlight of star wars. Most of TPM was, apart from whether you find it bad, above all redundant. If only TPM had just started with jedi stranding on Tatooine amidst a war about to erupt and the movie goes into the important stuff of AotC material (the start of the war) after they pick up this force prodigy, with the dual of the fates in place of the Dooku fight, that would've been a great episode 1. Then the good parts of clone wars and some remnants like dooku perhaps as episode II, and then episode III, largely as it is. Those aren't the prequels as they were made, but all of that material on its own is canon and awesome imo. And episode III would have more impact, having actually seen a long war that costs many lives – the war Luke is so awed by when Ben mentions it. These jedi befriended and fighting with clones in episode II and then them unwillingly turning against them, episode III would've made so much more impact. For that I'm glad the CW is canon, it holds the stuff Episode II should've had. It would've been awesome seeing Rex and Anakin and Obi-wan and Cody in action as episode II, with anakin being powerful and tempted by the dark side again and again to end this war. A war against an enemy secretly led by their own leader. (Which I still think is brilliant, creating a faux opponent to warrant making an empire out of a republic, going as far as to corrupt a prodigy to catalyse it.)

I feel no reason to block what I did love about TPM or the prequels entirely, cause it showed the jedi and the sith awesomely. Even if its scattered through out 2 bad movies and one less bad, the PT still has some iconic sw stuff in it. The lore (minus midichlorians) and world building (minus gungans) is great imo. It influenced a lot of fantastic EU too. Williams' score was magnificent. There's too much awesome stuff in the prequels, as bad as they can be, too entirely forget them, even TPM...

I agree with the above. Some of the 'new' trilogy took SW to a new awesome place - it showed us what cool Jedi v Sith fights should be like. Of course they were far from perfect but not as bad as the internet says they are. Ep III was also a massive high point for me. The transition to Vader was almost perfectly how I imagined it as a kid.

God damn I was able to place a PO for 2 Mauls in HLJ, quickly before it went to "sold out" again :yess::yess::yess:

If Amiami doesn't have in-stock when they drop, at least I'll have these 2. phew.

What I meant was I don't remember how I felt watching Phantom Menace for the first time. I only remember the excitement building up to it because all in all, the prequels left me sad. Yes, the Obi, Qui Gon, Maul final fight is AMAZING. And for me, the best lightsaber battle in any of the movies. But overall the prequels were such crap. I think I liked TPM at the time, but Attack of the Clones ruined my hope for the prequels living up to expectations.

I don't mean I blocked out the movies themselves. Of course I remember them, what I liked and didn't like. I only meant I don't have a visceral memory of seeing them for the first time the way I do for other films like the Og Trilogy, Terminator, Predator, Indiana Jones, Avatar, Pacific Rim, Avengers, Reign of Fire, Lord of the Rings etc. those movies and more resonated with me so deeply when I first saw them I can recall that feeling. With the SW prequels I only remember the excitement leading up to it as a feeling. With the exception of Obi Wan slicing up Anakin. That moment I remember seeing for the first time.

I can't remember much about seeing the prequels for the first time. I distinctly recall the excitement leading up to Phantom Menace, how the design reveals looked great...I remember the applause in the theatre when the 20th Century Fox fanfare went off...and remember loving all things Maul, but thinking his demise didn't make sense. I hated the pod race and thought it was too drawn out, didn't like Anakin, hated Jar Jar and the Gungans but may have been otherwise okay with the film at the time.

All I strongly recall about Attack Of The Clones was wondering why the Jedi jumped en masse into a kill box.

I hated all Anakin and Padme content/dialogue in AOTC and ROTS...and can barely remember all the other video-game-eque stuff I didn't like.

I do remember loving the opening of ROTS but thinking it got too cluttered right after that first shot.

The real disappointment set in after the fact, seeing how unwatchable and dated they were later on; and thinking about what could have been.

Shaking that off, I now see them as containing some beautiful design and fun set-pieces, but being terrible films overall with really bad writing; and I'm pretty forgiving given that the dialogue in the OT wasn't exactly stellar, no pun intended.

Did you do "2" in the quantity or two seperate orders...? Brace yourself to have 1 cancelled :lol

2 separate orders.

Well, I've done this several times and I've never had anything cancelled on me, in fact, both orders are already processed and I just received a confirmation e-mail for each.

The process is automated, theyll usually cancel one at the payment request once a perwon is looking at it,just had it happen with my mk 45's, ended up creating a second account to work around the issue

Really? That's honestly never happened to me at all, I've done it a least 5 or 6 times since I got my HLJ account and it always gets through, last time I did it with 3 Revo Yotsubas, 3 separate orders because they were low in stock too and it would only let me order 1 per order, 2 Revo Mr Incredible, again 2 separate orders.

And I have them all right here with me :lol so, knock on wood so it goes through this time too.

A secondary account? You have to pay double shipping that way no?

EDIT: I just checked my last year HLJ history and I've been doing this a lot more than I thought :lol back when revol mini Snake and Cyborg Ninja were up on PO I PO more than 3 of each (4), cause you know "max 3 per household", obviously with separate orders and they all went through, I ended up selling some Ninjas and Snake over here and just kept the ones with the best paint apps.
