Thousands have voiced their desire to own a majin vegeta a few years back, we still have yet to see a Proto of it. So I don't think they listen to customer feedback.

We ask for a Majin Vegeta, and we get a SS3 Vegeta prototype. So weird.

I love this Mace figure. So cool. Kind of annoying posing him holding the lightsaber with two hands. His top hand slides up the saber. Still love it.

^ Not ENTIRELY true with that ssj3 vegeta prototype, but the fact that they show off a ssj3 vegeta proto, which doesn't exist in any canon non-vg material, kinda shows how fast and loose tamashii plays with displaying prototypes.

Simple rule against disappointment: if it has no official release date it is NOT CONFIRMED to ever be released or when. Just enjoy what you get and you can run the risk of hoping for stuff, but that's a total gamble with Tamashii.

They have lots of pies to finger. Bandai seem to be pretty on to it (and have been around for ages to have learnt from), as they seem to time releases between lines pretty well and projecting accurate release dates making them much easier to plan for than any other preorders.

Bandai Star Wars model kits certainly seem to come out right on schedule and they produce the products they tease (except for that massive star destroyer).

Nope, just that they make "alot" of prototype figures and occasionally display ones they want to gauge interest for. Last time we asked apparently there is at least boxes full of dbz protos.

If you want a figure, best thing to do is let them know it.

Does Bandai have western licenses for dbz? I know they don't for Star Wars. I think I remember seeing interview hints that they might be gaining some new licenses for overseas markets in the near future. If Disney sees a potential to make more $ they might put an end to the Hasbro and Revell Star Wars monopolies in western markets.

They do have a page on FB, so that is definitely possible.

Do you have a link for that FB page? When I search on FB a whole herd of different SH Figuarts pages come up and none I find seem to be "official".

Speaking of Bandai being more reliable than SH. What exactly is the relationship between Bandai, SH Figuarts, and Tamashii? It seems like SH is a premium brand owned by Bandai but I have no clue what Tamashii is.

They dont have a western brand, no, but they outsource to companies willing to import the figures. Bluefin for example is the one who sells them in the USA.

Tamashii can only do that if they have the license to do so though, and in the case of star wars they dont unfortunately, hasbro has that license. Tamashii only has license for Asia in this case.

Figuarts is made by Tamashii Nations who in turn are owned by Bandai. Tamashii is an offshoot company basically, dealing in the premium, collectors side of things. Thats why the model kits seem to have the same joints as figuarts, because they borrowed the design from another department, tamashii.

There is an eBay (co.uk) seller called CharmingSushi based in Ipswich in the UK that imports Japanese stuff, they have a Figuarts Bruce Lee listed but nothing else by them. It's possible they could get other stuff in. Bruce is £50.99 post free which is in the reasonable price range for Figuarts.

Hey how do you guys feel about this? He's not completely done but something is bothering me about him.

It looks good to me man, very well done! It may just be because you dont really see Cody in that armor much even in clone wars, so thats why it looks "off"

Yeah, I think your right. Luckily I do have a phase 2 helmet on the way. Hopefully once I add a bit more weathering it will all tie together. Thank you :D now for Gree and Rex!

So it looks like Bandai needs to crack the whip! It's strange that they would split off like that under three different names. If Tamashii is the premium line then Tamashii Star Wars figures would work just as well as SH Figuarts Star Wars figures.

Based on their weird branding and lackadaisical willingness to turn away truck loads of money, I think trying to figure them out is an exercise in futility.

EDIT: If there's no official SH FB page maybe we can let them know what we want through an official Bandai FB page.

Tamashii is a sub company of bandai.. Figuarts, D-Arts and monster arts are theyre product lines, theyve all been cimbined into "figuarts". Figuarts is like saying legends for hasbro, its just a line header.
