Help Support Collector Freaks Forum:
Some advice please chaps and chapesses. I received my order from NinNin today of the riot shield trooper and scout bike (really looking forward to opening the bike!). The trooper is in a different box from the usual as in there is no window on the box. Is this right? It's not a fake is it?

Like Gearhart21 said, web exclusives are usually windowless to save money since they arent sold in shops. The Dragonball line is an exception though, since America sells them in shops too.

Nope, the riot trooper is a web exclusive in general. Its because its a repack of the regular stormtrooper with different accessories. This is how tamashii works with figures that are slightly altered from their original.
Thats why the shadow trooper was a web ex, and any likely sandtroopers will be too.

I see, Kombini have them for a decent price, so, one could well be next. I was sent a code by them, but, the email is in French and I don't know if it's a discount code or an order reference. I bought Luke through their eBay store and am not registered on their web store.

A few pics to whet peoples' appetite. May take some more later, but since I don't believe anyone else has uploaded pics, thought I'd get these on ASAP.
The hand is moulded to the shield - a nice touch and a definite time saver!
The figure's left shoulder (shield arm) seems a bit loose to me, but it's possibly the weight of the shield that's bringing it down a bit.

The riot trooper was such a badass every time I watch that scene over and over, he even threw his shield away to fight Finn. It took a shot from Chewy's bow caster from Han to stop him

According to 17Track my Mafex Vader has been delivered, well, not yet it hasn't, but, if it's gone out on the regular post round and not Parcel Force then I should have it today. Here's hoping! I like it when I have a weekend to unbox and enjoy a figure.

I use 17Track to cross-reference Canada Post tracking; it tends to produce more information and can track packages that Canada Post does not. That said, while using both apps to track a package, I've noticed they're often out of synch; sometimes one is faster than the other. Which tells me "tracking" is never as precise as I'd like.
Good luck on having it in today, though!

I got it in the end. Royal Mail gave me a fee to pay slip, so I had to go down to the depot to sort it out. According to the sticker it was VAT I was paying. I've never known that on anything from Japan before and didn't get stung with my other Figuarts (Non SW) figures. I don't know if anyone in the UK buying from Kombini has been hit for that, so I hope it won't happen with Luke.
Still, I have Vader in hand now, and I really like him, he's definitely all the Vader I'll ever need. Apart from the helmet mod I haven't done much else with him. I'll do a full write up with pics for the Mafex thread tomorrow.

When discussing it with my local post office here in Canada, I was told that there's no rhyme or reason to customs charges, in that some things slip through while others will get inexplicably hit. Smaller purchases (under $100) are ignored either by policy or whatever, I've never actually checked to see if there are limits. The bigger ones are unpredictable.
