It looks great till you see it next to Luke. Did you mod the helmet peg on yours? That will be the first thing I do to mine, when it gets here that is!

Which courier is that with? My Mafex Vader is with Royal Mail, Japan Post shows it having left Tokyo on the 28 May and the Royal Mail tracker doesn't recognise the number, it ought to be in the UK by now.

No, he looks fine in person, even next to Luke. Still a little short, but looks perfect to me. About helmet peg, yes I did it.
I will try to take some more pics this weekend.

Royal Mail is horrible at updating international tracking once its in the Uk. Sometimes the other countries tracker shows more than they do. Speaking from experience buying from Japan and China :)

DHL. It was using Nippon-Yassan's special delivery thingy where they ship en-masse to Europe (Luxembourg maybe?) and they then pass it on to GB. The customs charge is included in the price of shipping, but it means you don't have to pay any ridiculous handling fees and it's very fast. I'm still waiting for Mace which was posted weeks ago, yet this was sent on Monday.

Just got a text from the girlfriend - they have arrived!

Download the app 17track for your smartphone, or just use the 17track website. You can get a ton of detailed info on many tracking numbers.

Woah!! That's some haul. I'm guessing those FO riot troops must be pretty new additions. They are among the next on my list. I can't decide whether to get an FO Stormie or Mace next.......
Yeah got that earlier this week. Got a decent haul yesterday so I figured I would take them out and do a collection shot. My heart immediately sank lol.

If you like him then that's fine. Dave Prowse was 6ft 7" when he played Vader and if you look at this pic I'm sure Mark Hamill is wearing lifts:

I'll just have to see what I can find out. I remember getting something from Thailand once, and it took aaaaaaaages, even the seller agreed that it was overdue. He then went quiet, so, I opened a claim with eBay and got my money back. A couple of weeks after I got my money back, the parcel actually arrived, so I got the item for free! I'll never get anything from Thailand again though!

Thanks to 17Track I now know that my Mafex Vader came into the UK yesterday, so if Parcel Force bring it, there is a small possibility that it could still come today. If regular post have it then it could be tomorrow or Monday. At least I know it's on the way whatever. PHEW!

I got Mafex, Figuarts, Bandai an Hasbro. The right proportions are matched only by Bandai kit and Black Series, but the most close likeness I've reached is with this mod, Mafex head + Figuarts body. Mafex body is so weird and thin, and the articulation system of the Mafex is the worst I've seen in a toy line. I really would not recommend even to buy upcoming releases like Kylo or Phasma. They can look fine, but when you try to play with them... no comments.

That's fine,

I'll soon have my Mafex and I have a Luke on the way so I'll see how they are. I don't think any Vader is completely perfect and I went with the Mafex purely for the overall look with the cape and the height.

Well, I don't like the wired cape, it tends to keep like in suspension all the time. Is impossible to put it just in a neutral gravity pose. It was the first piece I replaced on mine. Also, the exaggerated size of the chest armor an its highly shining silver were the main reasons to make this mod with the Figuarts one.
But, to do that, I had to resize the neck hole. There is no back to the Mafex body. Darth Hollow.

That said, MAFEX is not a bad buy. He fills the "perfect Vader" hole and actually fits well in every 1/12 Star Wars line.
