The true stars of the film. What about the green guys though?

I opened my Jango figure this morning and he's even better than I thought he would be. Definitely need to get a stand for him, he's so much fun to pose.

Vallejo inks and dry brush. Not so special, I just had to lose the fear to soil that shiny armor. [emoji16]

I have no idea how you made it look like chrome and then weathered.....stunning improvement on BS original.

Only cape and gun are from BS. The figure itself is the Bandai model kit, so the chrome effect is there actually by default. The weather is just a layer of Vallejo inks.

Can't unsee that now. Thanks :rotfl
Still think its impressive, especially for nearly 17 years ago
Yea, honestly IMO one of the best eras for CGI was the 90s. Because the technology was in its infancy they had to supplement it with real effects and took great care to make sure what they produced was believable. Films like Jurassic Park, Titanic, and some of the Star Trek movies feature some stuff that still looks great even today.

Ironically the development of the technology led to some of the worst times in the industry (early/mid 2000s) when it came far enough that filmmakers starting relying on it as an excuse to be lazy during filmmaking, but it wasn't far developed enough to be realistic looking.

Finally got Jango today via SAL snail mail (but successfully avoided customs!). Fantastic figure. Shame about the lack of headsculpt though. :-(

Still waiting for my Jango. Shipped on September 30th from HLJ. SAL unregistered.

In another way... I could not resist; MAFEX Boba is on the way...:gah:
He willl join the Bandai 1/12 shelf, replacing my still-in-the-box Boba Fett model kit. :panic:
I hope he is so god as everybody is telling. That would lead me to consider MAFEX Kylo Ren and Rey.
In any case, I will keep Bandai for droids and troops.
And I consider my custom Vader as the Ultimate one:

I replaced belt and lower piece by TBS Vader one. It allows to manipulate easily the custom inner skirt:

I did something similar but used the black series robes Kunanuk, nice job! Is the hip/ upper leg joints on yours quite loose? Mine loves doing the splits and its annoying the life out of me, tried clear nail polish and super glue to widen the joint but nothing worked.

Thanks man!
Yeah dude... my Vader also dances. Thats the biggest issue on this kit.
There's the option to swap legs from MAFEX, did you try it? Quite solid articulation, not so bad looking.

Lucky you, the Parcelforce handling fee is now £18.50!! VAT is £11, that's a heck of a chunk to get stung with.

Getting my mafex boba tomorrow. Lousy pound now costing me £58 with delivery and parcelforce want £24 more!! This now more expensive than any other figure...including shf Jedi Luke, not quite as my speeder!! It better be as good Fwoosh said it is.....but boba is the prize star wars figure in any collection, so might as well have the best one....so far.
