Having reviewed the mondo and the third party versions neither worked.
Not sure what you mean by 'neither worked'?

The recent S-Hero animated style Bats and Superman figures are good 3D renditions using the very stylized animated proportions.

Bringing a 2D design like that to life isn't easy but it is being done successfully. I'm sure its well within your company's capabilities; those proportions not fitting in the car --- now that's a different issue, but I would think the majority of fans would prefer a figure that looked like the source material. It doesn't need to 'fit in' with Hot Toys and other realistically proportioned figures because it's not remotely the same thing. Just my take on it but I'm sure I'm not the only one.

It did not work in terms of articulation and in one case 'look' but more importantly it would mean quite an increase in cost to make a custom body for each animated series figure which would mean we end up losing customers. Final thing being not fitting in the car which has been asked many times

Having reviewed the mondo and the third party versions neither worked. Someone customised this a while ago, mondo body with a fabric outfit. The articulation is subpar and aesthetically speaking imo it doesn’t work.View attachment 748924
I think this actually looks pretty good. I remember some episodes early on in the series where the body was more rounded like the episode with all the robots.

With all respect, you will losing customers too if you make a figure that doesn't look like should be (I'm one of those). You make a custom body for Catwoman but not for Batman(?)...kinda weird tbh.

About the Batmobile, I'm not gonna buy it but understand the issue, but for me is more of a scale problem.

Yeah that's the difficult part. Either way I loose and we are seeing how much time, work and extra money is needed to make a custom body, which makes me even more reticent. Because:
1) we could be sure we would get more than enough orders for catwoman to make it work financially
2) we had to match her actual body and physique, whereas the animated series figures going to 3d will always have some form of interpretation and not match so correctly

Then we have the animated series Batman, which, based on RSVPs and buzz will sell MUCH less than catwoman AND there is already a version out there with the animated look (unlicensed but still)

I am finding this a very difficult decision but there is no clear path forward as a custom body will SERIOUSLY increase the price of the animated Batman because all those costs will have to be spread over a much smaller number of customers.

So then the question becomes: how many extra orders will I get if I make a custom body and how many orders will I lose by the price increase necessary to make that custom body and will the difference between those two be positive or negative?

Collectors are always going to complain about something without knowing the ins and outs. Do what you think is best for business. (HT are always reusing bodies, e.g. X-23 and Raine Carradine.)

I have no intention of buying a TAS Batman ever from any company so I don't give feedback, if you're complaining, are you actually wanting to buy it? Otherwise it's pretty pointless debate. I trust the process for whoever is making the figure (HT, IA, Jazzinc), if I like it, I'll buy it. If I PO'd, and have skin in the game, and the development is heading south, I'll voice out too. Just chill and see how it turns out.

My favorite Batman is Kevin Conroy from BTAS/TNBA so I am pretty much guaranteed to purchase this Batman. I don’t have room for the Batmobile so that won’t happen for me.

I have had my Tony Mei BTAS figure for years but it always bothered me that it was on Sideshow Batman body so I was quick to purchase the recent unlicensed figures. Soon I will be transferring the Tony Mei costume and head to a spare unlicensed body so the animated head will have a matching animated body.

With that being said, I am always in the market for the best representation of my favorite Batman. I have faith Joost will make an amazing Batman but it would be easier for me if I didn’t have to switch out the body from Jazzinc to an unlicensed animated body.

I'll consider it if it's on an accurately proportioned animated body. I wanted to get on that Tony Mei custom run but what pushed me to decide against it was the body used. I also wanted to get the unlicensed ones but the final product didn't turn out as how I expected it.

I'm very chill, so please don't read any antagonism into my response. 🍻

As a customer it's not my job / not my problem to 'know the ins and outs'.

A company with transparency (such as Joost's) will share that information, a company with next to none (like HT) won't and either way it won't sway my decision, it's a matter of whether or not I like a product enough to purchase; i.e. does it get past my personal filters.

Complaining / critiquing is part of the game and always has been. So long as it doesn't veer into personal attacks or repetitive trolling I don't see any issue with discussing a product beforehand.
