Luke is the most overrated Jedi of all time. Vader would have killed him in a second if he was not his son. Maul, Kenobi, Emperor, Yoda, Vader all are better than Luke (if we are going by only the movies). Even then, Luke is not a top five Jedi in the EU either, as I said, overrated.

Movie universe my rankings would go (based on lightsaber combat)

1. Kenobi
2. Palpatine
3. Yoda
4. Mace Windu
5. Vader

You can't blame Luke based on film footage. Hamill said that Lucas said the original light sabers had to be held with both hands because of the weight and the PT sabers were made and designed to be significantly lighter for the cast.

I was going to get the MAFEX Vader, but after looking at some pics, the face (especially the mouth grill) looks too small, and with the removable mask feature, you can he is missing some detail work and the detailing is kinda soft on the mask forehead and interior of the mouthpiece.

I'm happy with my model kit Vader for now. Maybe when Vader appears in some of the anthology movies we may get a new one from SHF.

ASM2 Spidey isn't too bad, but overall...yeah. They don't have the tightly engineered feel of SHF. And their joint system can make them look lanky.

They don't even have Figma's tightly made joints. And Figmas are basic quality compared to Figuarts

Ummm, did we FORGET that Mace beat Palpatine in ROTS? He was by far the most skilled fighter along with Yoda and Dooku following. Dooku was also ALWAYS taking on two Jedi at a time, and it was only once Anakin had matured and became more in touch with his dark feelings that he lost his upper hand. Anyways its all fiction and personal opinion in the end.

I am under the impression that Palps let Mace "defeat" him to show Anakin (which he sensed/predicted)... who would show up and to see the Jedi trying to kill him when Anakin needed Palps to save Padme. I think Palpatine could take Mace if he tried.

Dooku took on a brash young boy with his hesitant master who wanted a two vs one battle, I think Obi was caught off guard and had flashes of his friend Qui-Gon dying at the hands of the Sith. I think he fought a more defensive battle. Come ROTS Anakin takes out Dooku solo and then later Kenobi takes out Anakin, so by extension Kenobi>Anakin>Dooku.

Kenobi never lost a solo duel at all. Palps killed three Jedi and held off two of the strongest. Yoda made Dooku flee and held Palps off. Windu dominated the battle of Geonosis and did put up a successful stand against Palpatine... even if Palps let him.... Vader lost one duel and let his emotions lose him another. He beat a young Jedi... who was his son.... If we go by comics Vader is probably up in the top three.

It seems that SHF is really rolling out the releases and pumping these figures out now. We have Kylo, FO Trooper, Phasma, Obi-Wan, Battle Droid, Scout Trooper and Clone Trooper all coming within the next 6 months, and we know ANH Luke and Han as well as the droids are already sculpted and ready to go.

So, what are your biggest wants from this line? My top 5 are:

1. Boba Fett (ROTJ Version)

2. The Emperor

3. IG-88

4. Chewbacca

5. Leia (ESB Bespin Escape)

My Spideys shoulders are pretty bad.

I've actually had three MAFEX ASM2 Spideys in-hand, plus one Batman ... the second release, whatever it was. The joints are inconsistent with some worse than others. I don't expect better from their upcoming Star Wars offerings, but we'll see.

Mostly I'm just dying to finally see in-hand reviews of the production pieces, it's been a long wait. Not too impressed with the one Twitter shot of MAFEX Vader so far, but the jury's still out.

Does the look of the joints on Darth Maul bother anyone who has him? I ask because I watched a video review and the joints looked kind of ugly to me. I realize they give him a greater range of motion, but they still seem like they are very noticeable and possibly take away from the overall look of the figure.

I think SHF did a good job with the articulation on this particular figure given the design limitations of Maul's clothing. He's got huge sleeves and pants so the joints will be more noticeable(bigger ball joints?) compared to more form fitting armor or clothes. SHF probably didn't want to sacrifice it's trademark articulation.
