Full Zords reveal tomorrow.....this will be huge - either a big step in the right direction....or wrong direction.

Yup, alot is riding on that reveal.

I don't see how this film can disappoint. As long as the tone is like a MCU film, the CGI doesn't suck, and the action looks good, it should be "good."

:exactly:

MCU tone or Pacific Rim tone and it should be fine. This is the kind of movie that should be a little big and stupid but as long as it has heart it should survive.

could disappoint the same way Godzilla Disappointed. If they use very little CGI because of budget or they leave the action to the end.
it could suck the same way Jupiter ascending sucked. too nonsensical and too over the top.

could suck the same way x men apocalypse sucked. bad villain and dumb motives as well as leaving all the action to the end

I don't expect anything from this so I can't be dissapointed.
If it has good balance between story, characters and action (unlike Pacific Rim Job and Grabzilla)... then I'll probably like it.

From what was teased of the Zords... they come off like Bayformers... but eh, as long as the Megazord looks like the Megazord IDC. Just play out like "Day of the Dumpster" and it should be at least passable.

Godzilla was disappointing because they kept focusing on the humans instead of the monsters fighting. That shouldn't be a problem with PR, since the humans are the heroes.

That's to be expected from a PR film though :lol. As far as the film having a lack of action, it depends on the story, but I hope it's a simple origin formula with the team getting their powers, learning how to use their abilities and learning to work as a team, facing the villain at least twice, and a big "final" battle at the end, and a nice after credit scene teasing the Green Ranger or Lord Zedd...Thanos style.

imagine if they focus on them outside of the suits too much?

MMPR fans know the origin story and I hope they don't change it that.

What I AM looking for though is something a bit more mature and not aimed at a 10 year old. Unfortunately though, its MMPR...so it wouldn't surprise me if that's what they gear it for. I'm hoping they balance it well though - which I think they can - this is one of the few properties, IMO, that like a Marvel film in that it can appear to a wide demographic if done right.

Lionsgate has potential for a nice payday here with this property.
