Of all of the elements that I'm worried about, it's Rita that I'm worried about the most.

Obviously, Rita should be the villain, but her character is very expressive, over-the-top-ish in the show and I'm hoping we get more of a sinister and serious Rita.

They made a GREAT choice IMO with Elizabeth Banks. If her character sucks, I''ll be surprised if it's because of her and not the writers/script.

If you guys are expecting more than a big budget version of the show with slightly better acting (hopefully) and slightly better writing, then you will all be disappointed, imo.

This technically is a big-budget version of the show though. I expect that much.

But I will be very surprised if Lionsgate doesn't shake things up a bit with this - meaning, add their own elements and really take this to another level, etc. etc. This should not feel like a 2 hour made for TV movie like Turbo did.

They made it clear they want multiple films out the franchise and starting with a $120 million budget, to me, says they're doing a lot to make this right. I get $120 million may not be a lot for some big name franchises, but that's nothing to shake a stick at.

After the failure of BvS if this was ever a dark movie they might've lightened it up by now.

But I think Chap is on the right course with this, we'll know the full vibe soon enough.

They don't need a whole hellva lot of money to make a film on par with a regular episode, or even the first two attempts at films to make it work. But they won't sneeze at a blockbuster budget to work with.

And he went with the Red Ranger for his avatar/profile pic :yess: Red/Jason was my favorite.

Jason is the best team leader the show ever had :lecture

Jason was the best ranger, period.

And yeah, that avatar and sig combo is perfrct. Blast from the past. The movie was lame (season 3 and the motion picture was when my interest in Power Rangers faded), but I loved the posters, promotional material and collectibles.

i remember being so mad that most of the movie had them in those ninja suits instead

i didnt mind the bad cgi but I HATED the design of the new robots. they were so ugly. specially when they combined.
the head was so bad, so ugly looking
that head design was hideous... what were they thinking lol
