Riddick, this is how I imagine your reaction to the trailer.

If they do the action well and they dont do shaky cam then the movie could be really great!

I like the actors and i like their personalities.
The breakfast club stuff is cheesy but its just a sign of the current times.
Same goes for making them losers, i guess in 2016 you cant have heroes that are not being oppressed somehow .

The only, the one thing i really really hated about the trailer was the song used but i hope the movie doesnt have " twilight movie" songs like that.
As well as the dark lighting. It felt like the movie will be colorful or have much sunshine at all.
The lighting and blue tones reminded me a lot of twilight too.

It is weird because this is a sci fi action movie with robots and aliens and fights,
But the first trailer is marketing it like a teenage supernatural romance coming of age movie.

So im excited for the movie and im hopeful but this trailer i think was not put together well for the type of movie it is.

It jusrlt definitely is geared towards the millenial crowd. And thats totally ok just as long as the movie is a little lighter in tone.
The lack of color and the blue tones are kinda worrying me a lil bit

The loser abused angle also worries me about the overall tone

Well I don't know your stance on JL so I only went by your post

I'm not saying this is going to be amazing by any stretch. I'll stay guarded on it, but I'm optimistic. The show hasn't aged well whatsoever so I don't think it has much to do to be better if that makes sense. I love it for nostalgia but that's it. The fights are still good though, but the high school scenes are terrible.
