Yeah, it would practically write itself and the following for him is huge, so if I'm Lionsgate, it's a no brainer - but my worry is Spider-Man 3 syndrome where you cram in so many elements that you sacrifice quality. I think going from Green to White in a two movie set is just way too much already. Just my two cents.
I hope they feel the same.

Part 2 is the Green Ranger saga. The Rangers fight him as he's controlled by Rita. They play the love triangle with Green-Pink-Red. Eventually/somehow Jason is redeemed and he sacrifices his powers to take out Rita for good.
-- Post Credit scene shows Lord Zed taking the throne.

Part 3: The White Ranger

I think the rise and fall of the Green Ranger in one movie is a big injustice to the Green Ranger, IMO.

Same here, not to mention things I've read about JDF over the years ruined him for me when I watch the show.

I've read a lot of things about him, but man, I still really like the guy. I met him at a con years back with me and my brother. He didn't have near the following he does now. (IMO, I think his following has grown tremendously.) But, he was ridiculously nice. We talked for a minutes. Got autographs and pics with him and he seemed genuinely honest with us. I've respected him ever since - granted, I don't know him personally, some of the stories may be true, but I give him the benefit of the doubt.

Is it the Green Ranger or is it Tommy's arc?
Making his journey into two movies is justice. Remember, he was Green Ranger for about 55 episodes and he was the White Ranger for about 70 episodes.

Well there are phone interviews of him talking about Austin St John and how he wants to fight him because he bragged being tough on set. He was a teenager dude and it was 20 years ago...

I really don't hate the Green Ranger, I just hate the fans that think he's the sole character that carried the show.

Tommy and Kimberly were the two most popular and they lasted the longest (Billy too, but he wasn't as popular).
The movies should follow their story as the other rangers became interchangeable.

But it's a Power Rangers movie - not a Green Ranger and Friends movie. I get what your saying, but that's a lot to cram in with Tommy, IMO. Not to mention, you lose appreciation for the others and character development because so much focus is on Tommy.

Didn't the series do exactly this?

No it shouldn't. That only happened out of circumstance since Rangers were fired.

He is not as vital as a lot of people seem to believe.

Oh, yeah. I've read that - but according to him, it was Austin acting like a **** all of those years. Austin doesn't see it that way obviously, but hey, I'll never know. I think it just needs to drop between the two of them - lots of missed opportunities with the fans, IMO.

That's probably true but Frank is way too hyped up and angry about it while John seems way more calm and reserved about it. I just think Frank's ego is too damn big now to believe a word he says.

I used to be s big Tommy fan, but knowing more about him in reality plus the worship of his fans made me really dislike him.

I agree with you about that. I think JDF needs to let it go - I think making it into what he has isn't right. I see where you're going - and I agree.

What I've seen of John when he came back to the scene from being overseas, he just wanted to leave sleeping dogs lie. I don't know if Frank has said anything recently about it.
