Not moi. But I kinda left early and left it to Sam, Sara, Stig, and Ellen to sort out the last of the cleanup. I can't vouch for them :monkey1
*waits for the inevitable stuff to hit the fan from Sam, Sara, Stig, and Ellen*
Here you go, Rumi:

We left it extremely nice and tidy... of course.

Any idea when comic-con lists the hotels on their site? Also anyone ever stayed on Coronado Island? If so, is it a beyotch to get on/off the island?

damn, i was looking forward to going this year, but i hate crowds and standing in lineups, might have to pass. would be interesting to see if it is a little less crowded this year compared to others.

If you get there early on Sunday, the crowds aren't that bad. Friday and Saturday are so crowded you cannot walk. As far as panels and signatures go, you gotta pick and choose. Some of the best ones are obviously on Friday and Saturday, but I would rather just enjoy seeing the new products and getting swag instead of seeing a panel that I can read about the next day. Plus, on Sunday alot of the exclusives are sold out but vendors are more willing to negotiate on prices. :(

I thought I heard somewhere that they were considering moving it to the LA Convention Center for more room? Has anyone else heard this?

Didn't P!tu stay at the hostel in the Gaslamp district? I hear that it's a pretty cheap way to go, and it's close, but can be really noisy - and you have to share a bathroom with everyone probably :horror

All hostels are booked up already. :horror Things are selling out a lot faster this year. Unless you want to be in a 6 or 10 person dorm room...that's all that's currently available.

You summed it up perfectly for me. I have gone to Comic-Con the past 5 years straight and had a great time, but the past two (last year and the year before) have not been worth the hassle anymore.

I wonder if the state of the economy will effect attendance dramatically?

Well judging by how the hostels and many of the hotels are sold out, it doesn't look that way......but there could always be cancellations down the road. I would love it if it wasn't crazy crowded.
Like Dave said, it was hard to get into a lot of the panels ...and the big ones required standing in line for a couple hours. I think of the dozen or so panels I wanted to see, I actually only saw about 3 or 4.

You had to practically spend the night in the street to be far enough ahead in line to get into the Heroes panel. My wife and I got there a few hours early and it was too late for us.

Of course, sleeping on the street solves the hotel room problem, lol.

Yeah...there were quite a few girls that did that for the Twilight panel. I learned to pick a day when there were several panels I wanted to see in the same room. Once I was in, I just stayed.

That's probably the best approach. I'll be curious to see the impact the economy has on SDCC as a whole. I know for me I'm not buying much of anything at the show this year.

I definitely won't be buying anything. I'll be in a house by then (or should be) and any extra money I have will be for food and drink. :duff

Totally understand that. Kind of what I'm going to be trying to do. I'll get the SS Dead Ex (assuming there is one) and thats about it.

I will try to get a hotel room when they go up next month, as my conflict has been worked out and I can go this year.

Sweet!! Lookin forward to seein ya there. :rock

Bringing the wife and kids last year was fun, but it did limit my time at the actual event since we were doing Sea World, etc. during our time in San Diego.

I also hope that we don't have another all day traffic jam on I-5...

Well, I for one will be there for sure,
last year I didn't get the chance too meet many people, but hopefully this year I will!

I missed a bunch of panels last time, I'll try to plan ahead better this time...
maybe we can organize SS Freaks shifts for waiting in line?
So that maybe you get to wait in line for hours only once, and more people get to be at cool panels?

yeah... nothing like a 6 hour drive from Los Angeles...

I haven't been able to get into the Smallville panel EVER. Last year it was first thing on Sunday morning and in the 2nd biggest room. So I figured it wouldn't be a problem - got their 45 mins. early and they had closed the room and were telling people to not bother getting in line. They NEVER tell you not to bother - they usually let you just get in line, fully knowing there's no chance in hell you'll get in.
