I think if it moves, a big part of the experience of being right there within walking distance of many hotels and places to eat, etc, will be lost and it might take some of the 'fun' away...

Fun? Lonnie the last few years have been a cluster F. If anything by being somewhere else it can't get worse. :huh L.A. would be great, SW Celebration was great AND the Pantry Cafe' is downtown. :drool

Lonnie's referring to the fact that every night after Con, we all go out for dinner and drinks. We don't have to drive or even walk far. We wouldn't be able to do that in L.A. Not near the amount of great restaurants or cool bars...

Meh no thanks. Vegas is fun and all, but I can't imagine it being a good area for this type of event. The annual porn convention yeah, comic book convention?? no.

As much as I wouldn't mind con moving to Vegas, I love going to San Diego. The weather is so much better and it gives me and excuse to get out of town...The only thing that sucks is that Con is becoming so expensive.

It has traffic but it is easy to get around on foot downtown (I believe this is what people are referring to). I don't know that Anaheim would be as good to walk around in.

It's much easier to get around downtown San Diego on foot. The Anaheim convention center is surrounded by hotels, overpriced restaurants and tourist shops. You want to hit someplace cool you'll have to drive a few miles away from that area.

The only cool place around would be Downtown Disney and that'll be packed with tourists going to or coming from Disneyland.

However, there is a Hooters on East Katella Ave. :lol
