We wont even get them, the post office will have to get the department of disease control involved and shut down the county.

Looks like my Grans hat....

Took my Marmit Sandtrooper apart. Put him on the slim true type. Head sculpt added, just need to put some extra SS Stormie hands on him, and then I will be ready to try my hand at painting him.

So I have a question, will fingernail polish remover take of the factory paint??

Yeah it removes the paint nps. I find using an old biggish paintbrush works well for getting off big bits of paint. You can over do it so go slowly though.

Here are few pictures of a Sandtrooper I have been working on the past week or so. I figured it would be nice to have a 2nd one to go with the Sideshow Sargeant I will be getting later this month.

It is just a Sideshow Stormie with some weatheriing, Koto shoulder pauldron and ammo pouch.

Nice work Chakaman!
I've been tempted to do the same with a Stormtrooper as well.
What are the differences in the armor between the Sandtrooper and Stromtrooper? Just the knee armor?

Ow dare I say it but that looks very cool. similar to the marmit!!!

As for difference in troopers.

Well this is my understanding.
The helmets grey areas are different. the tear shape under the eye has no black lines in neither does the grey blocked on the back.
The chest armour is the same except for the shoulder strap which is smooth not ribbed.
On the stomach there are no dots.
The little boxes that hang down off of the belt and the can at the back are not there.
And as you said the knee plate different.

I also thought the plate on the back of the hand was different but I can not find any shots.

Cool. Thanks DS. I knew there was something with the stomach armor but didnt really know about the others. Thanks!

Good link, thanks.

I may repaint the tear drop and remove the two side pieces from the belt, but I can live with mine without the other minor mods.

Totally agree he looks pretty awesome as he is. I think we can all get a bit to hung up on trying to hard to get stuff movie accurate.
Sometimes I feel the customs work folks do looks so good, better than looked in the films.
