Then you need a bigger shelf!! Trust me a dewback is a must, once they are painted up they look great. Like I said before if you don't wana paint I will, but it just the shipping problem.

Thanks buddy, will think about it. But I think I'll take a 12" R5-J2 Imperial droid first from you ;) If everything goes well in a couple of months I'll ask your help for a 12" R5-J2 Imperial droid custom :duff

I don't know how far you are from the IKEA there (it's in Băneasa Shopping City in Bucharest), but a Dewback fits (barely) in one of their Billy bookcases; that's what mine is in.

A bit more than 500 km  And I already have my custom made cabinets :)

Sarg contemplates another spectacular failure by Goth Squad.

Too long spent in the local Bedouin encampment sampling the Hooka's (Pipes and otherwise!) have resulted in TK666 losing his speeder bike in a game of chance with two Jawa's, the droids are still at large and defection to the rebellion has never looked so appealing.

Re-enforcements have been ordered but may take weeks to arrive...

If anyone knows the location of a missing Imperial speeder bike, please contact Imperial Command immediately!

Les' repaint was the first I had seen... he really did an amazing job. I hope mine can turn out half as nice (if I ever start it that is :lol)

One of these days I'll post photos of my Dewback... I'm such a lazy ass.... well, honestly it has more to do with getting home in time to take photos with good lighting. I also have some other figures I've been working on that I'd like to show off. I swapped bodies from short Bucks to Pros on my Yavin and Farmboy Lukes, turned out very nice. I also added the long neck from my TK Batman to the Narrow TT I used for my Smuggler Han. I'm pretty happy with him now too.... Anyway, one day soon...

Of interest, a comparison shot of the three 1:18 Hasbro versions of the Dewback (including the brand new one just showing up in stores):

Note how the sculpt on the new one matches the 1:6 one.

I hadn't previously noticed this, but apparently the Dewbacks in TPM use this design and it's now the 'canon' appearance per Lucasfilm. Anybody happen to have a TPM Dewback screenshot?

Wow, does that new Dewback come in battlepacks?

You mean TPM or ANH:SE??

I mean TPM, which the newest 1:18 Dewback (on the right) and the 1:6 Dewback are both based on, per the write-up at Rebelscum for the new 1:18 Dewback:

rebelscum.com said:
(*) Although this set is based on the scene from A New Hope, the anatomy of the Dewback is based on the creature's appearance in The Phantom Menace, which is now the official look for the beast.

I don't recall the Dewbacks in TPM, but I'm assuming Curto isn't going to just blow smoke about this unless he knows of what he speaks.

The POTF2 1:18 Dewback (the one in the center) is based on the design from ANH: SE

There were a lot of complaints that the 1:6 Deback was off-model when it was released, and it does not look like anything we saw in either the original or Special Edition of A New Hope, the blame being laid at the feet of the Hasbro department responsible for the 1:6 line (which was different than the one that made the 1:18 main line). This new version demonstrates that the appearance of the 1:6 version was not a fluke but was apparently based on the then-current Lucasfilm models for the creature; I'd like to see photographic evidence backing this up. I'm hoping I'm not going to have to personally go through TPM or AOTC frame-by-frame to get screenshots. I'm kind of surprised the Dewback scenes in ANH: SE were not tweaked if this is indeed, as it appears, the case.

I'm almost as obsessive about Dewbacks as I am about Jabba, what can I say?

Wow, does that new Dewback come in battlepacks?

It's a WalMart exclusive to be released next month.

OK, my OCD won out. Here are the Dewback appearances from The Phantom Menace:

As you can see, the 1:6 and newest 1:18 Dewbacks from Hasbro are clearly vased on the CGI model from TPM.

Didn't manage to find any Dewbacks in Attack of the Clones, though starwars.com and wookiepedia both claim they're there.

I am interested in 1 dewback, Hurricane. I have tried to send you a PM but your box is full. Please let me know if you still have them
Thanks

I really dislike the newer versions of the dewback. I understand the desire to have them move around but the redesign for SE wasnt that great, and the second redesign was even worse. They even have caught a case of missing toes like Jabba and his ever changing fingers. The original dewback was much more appealing and you can see that lifesize version from one of the fan events was modeled after the original. It's really cool.

It was good to see the pics of the Dewback in TPM , I didn't realise he
had a little leather cap type thing on his head.

Is it leather Armour ? I say this becasue it looks like it has something protecting the eyes as well.
(Horse Blinkers ?)
