Just my taste in what is a "cool" body type for a villain. He just looks a little stretched vertically, which is more apparent in person than in most of the photos. I like the "more NBA than NFL" description, but I hate both basketball and football, lol. Give me Sauron the NHLer!

Just had a read - Very interesting! I likes me a bit of Middle Earth history!
On another note can't wait to see everyone's pics of this piece - it looks amazing!
That site is pretty sweet. I love using it to quickly read up on the history of certain characters. Its like taking a quick trip into Middle-earth when you need a fix.

Has everyone read Silmarillion? I highly recommend it if you love middle earth history.

Read it all the way through for the first time last year. Parts of it are really good some of its a little tough to get through.

I started Lost Tales way back when, but those were all cimpiled/written by Chris right? I know it's all based on JRR's notes and pieces are his writing but it always irked me that they weren't completed JRR book like Silmarrillion.

They are usually notes that Christopher used to write The Silmarillion. Such as to why there is magic to make the rings of power. Melkor had put his power into Arda. Thus, they can make the rings of power and why Sauron can make a ring that the others are subject too.
Also, talks about after the fall of Isengard and how they found the effects of Isildur.
Great stuff in these three books.
Something great here is about the chapter in the Silmarillion about the sun and moon and dome of Valar. He created a myth with his myth about the Friuts of the two trees becoming the moon and sun. The elves and Numenorians knewEru had created the sun and Melkor desired the pure light. He corrupted the pure sun and ME had to be shielded for a time.
All apart of JRRT mythopia (not sure I spelled that correctly).

Sil is easily one of my favorite books. First couple of times it was tough but it's full of ME info. Like I said, so much more could be done if someone were to tackle that.
