I just noticed, I think part of your helm is broken on the right there, that helm piece should be attached to the rest with the skull inside.

why are so many of these arriving broken? is it a shipping problem? im hoping these stay in stock just a little while longer. I really want to get one to go with my dark rider but I have too much on order atm

Due to the fact the small parts are not separate pieces, everything is attached to the huge base and any stress at all can break things easy. Not sure how the bodys are getting broken, but it seems like there is a pressure point right in the middle that is causing some trouble. His looks like an easy glue fix, but if I were you I would get one ASAP in case you need replacement parts before they are out or don't want to ship the big pieces anymore.

Honestly I would take Sauron over anything on that preorder list, he is hard to top.

i would say his biggest advantage is his size..36 inches is BIGGG

sigh…seriously contemplating canceling a PO and justifying the difference for sauron..would be my first lotr piece..ive beeb in this hobby since august and am investing close to 5k already..idk if thats a lot or a little but its pricey imo..but damn id hate myself to miss out on this big guy….this and predator 2 maquette are gonna run me over 2k alone...

I have easily over that amount in PO's. $5k is common. Youre going to learn quick.

As for Sauron, he's awesome dude. I only have one "LSF" and I doubt Id get anymore larger scale statues like him and use up the space, unless I like the character that much. Ive had him for over, I think 3 or 4 months already and Im still admiring in awe and enjoying this piece. Quite frankly my favorite statue out of my entire collection and I have quite a few grail pieces.

You should be fine ordering through them, it is a hassle from SS too, but in the end you should still be happy either way.

I think that once they sell out you are a bit boned on getting replacement parts straight from them, but I could be wrong. Maybe they could help you contact sideshow, as retailers are supposed to. I had something break on my DX11 I bought from bbts when they only had 2 in stock. A week or two later I checked in with them about it and they said they had no parts. Same thing happened with a NECA figure I got from them. It seems like bbts just uses available stock for replacements.

I had a similar situation when I bought 3A Ambush from BBTS. They offered me partial credits for the defects. With the statue it's going to be a higher chance of breakage. If the damage looks bad, back it goes.

Well, if you are getting it painted not much can't be fixed and redone. Take the credit and apply it to the new paint. Only thing you would need to worry about then would be missing items or fitment issues.

My sauron has shipped yesterday from BBTS. ETA is Friday and I'm super excited. I have yet to find a place for him. I wonder if I should place him on the floor or if I should elevate him a little?

Congrats Reference! His big but not big enough to look good on the floor. You’re going to want to elevate him on a table, stand or in a case. I think he looks great at about waist high.
