I'm by no means an expert, but I'd say maybe make Dodges beard not quite as "grown out" looking in comparison to the rest of his hair... and smoother (closer to the face to look more "real" and similiar length-wise to the hair on his head).

I like it though! I think that's a sweet MacDonald.

When I compare the the sculpt next to your picture, the beard looks exactly the same. Time to suit him up!:monkey1

Kfog--I think you should sculpt up the hair to match the beard that you have put there, and it will balance out the head.

Hi Jess! I forgot to say that they had not been painted yet. I painted both and smoothed out the hair a little. I may take your suggestion on building up the hair to match the beard though, thanks!:)

Hey, I passed my 2000 mark posted! I really like how these guys turned out and can't wait to get them suited up. This is the McDonald after I painted him!:yess:

I think that Dodge looks outstanding in his ANSA uniform! Both figures are now on auction, thanks!:wink1:

I like sculpting apes from artwork in comics/books. My next project will be Marcus' family from "Conspiracy of the Planet of the Apes". I have a few ideas that I'm looking forward to working on. The hair on the young gorilla on the bottom left will be challenging, but fun and good practice.

I was going to buy a beautiful table for 6 for Zira and Cornelius but the package was going to be too big to hide when it was delivered...so I chickened out since I had been jobless and really shouldn't have been ordering anything.

immediate to-do list:

Cheif Marcus
Prefect Barlow (just need to make the piece that lays over the shoulders of the tunic)
Oriental orangutan screen test (possibly the original Law Giver)

Prefect Barlow so far... I need to fix up the paint job and make the fabric chest piece that he wears.

One thing I noticed while gathering reference pics is how different his hairline is in The Gladiators and The Horse Race. I did the hairline more like it is in The Gladiators, but the beard more like it is in The Horse Race.

Thanks guys! I can't wait to make the chest/shoulder piece (does that thing have a name?) I'm trying to find the perfect shade of green. I'm going to use a Hasbro chimp glyph.
