Be there or be square!! A special tour of the Pinewood studios may be provided for apes who attend in costume...but more details on that as time progresses.

Unfortunately, they're using the same promos as last Thanksgiving's POTA weekend. :(

Well, it takes a lot of effort to get under the goo, and Apemania is expensive to hire. The apes on the promos are all actors for hire, so everybody's got to get paid. I think it would be a cool job...

They're done Ironman. I did the open mouth one and the one with closed mouth. How are your projects coming along?

Pix?
Mine? I'm still trying to figure the best way to mod the Attar sculpts to be poseable and to cover whatever type joint I use as best as possible. The packs need a few more coats as I just can't nail the color I'm aiming for. I have a hasbro Zira that is tempting me to try a female gorilla conversion. I'm working on two non-human, non-simian characters for a personal project. Still toying with the colors to get the orangutan hair right. And, there is still a million human sculpts to paint. I'm almost satisfied with the skin tone. I'm going to try panting some hair and eyes and see if the skintone holds up for me.

You're getting to be quite the juggler of projects. :)

I was looking at my collection last night and I thought to myself, "I have way too many apes." Do ever think that? I ought to build shelves or something.

I have more than enough background chimps thanks to you and PZ. I'm good with gorillas and orangs also. I think the only way I'll get more SS figures is if I stumble across a heavenly deal.

I really need to work on the other ape related projects around the house. Tonight, I'm going to mount three new gorilla backpacks to the last of my apes with a hot glue gun.

I'll take a pic of the gorilla grodd(s) for you.

Yes, but juggling doesn't help. :lol
I am getting things accomplished though, albeit slowly.
Too many apes? NEVER!!!!!
I really would like to work it up to the point that no two apes have the same sculpt. I think changing Zira into a gorilla will be a good "at home" start. I don't see any ape head I make comparing to the likes of you and Jess ( JESS!! Hi! Please email me when you have time!!)
I look forward to seeing your Grodd. It may just be what I need to figure out the Attar dilemma.

Thanks for saying that, but Jessica is the true master of ape sculpting. It's very much a struggle for me. I have the hardest time and she seems to nail it with much greater details. Now that I have enough apes, my sculpting career is at its end, and hers is just taking off. She seems to be very interested in sculpting.

I received the Caesar statue yesterday and I couldn't be happier. I snapped a few quick shots with the Lawgiver for the thread:

My son said that holding it in his hands was like holding an Oscar.:D

He was VERY impressed too.

Thanks again for all of your hard work, Mark.
