I just got the HT Gorilla Soldier and I'm pleasantly surprised I like him as much as I do.
I posted my opinions on the Gorilla Soldier review thread and I took more pix:

Very nice pictures Ursus3978. :joy

Beautiful pictures Ursus.

Wow JJ,

Nice picture. I love your use of shadow. You really need to submit more photos! Excellent job.

Thanks.
The "wall" is brown kraft paper, the "floor" is a sheet of board and the "ruins" are parts from a Hasbro G.I.Joe WWII diorama set and of course the Lawgiver is from Sideshow.

Clever ape! I would never have known that about the wall/floor. Looks fab.

I got my expanding material finally!! I already poured it into Pete's mold. It takes 24 hours to cure. I probably messed it up, since it said I had a 10-minute work time, so I rushed it. It's probably got a thousand air bubbles. Oh well. I'll find out tomorrow how badly I did. After I take it out of the mold, I soak it in water and let it expand. I should probably read the directions more thoroughly. I just couldn't wait.

Wow Jungle--fabulous photograph!!

Nice one Jungle.

Jess I'm looking forward to seeing the face-off transplant between HT and Hasbro! :woo

Oh, I forgot to answer your question before, the fair on my figures face is held by Elmers glue. I used your suggestion. :whip

I bought a few whips for my apes but where did you find the torch??

I think this brings up an interesting point about some of the Hot Toys accessories.

As nice as the key is that is included with the HT Gorilla, I'd have preferred a whip or torch or maybe even a net.

Since the inclusion of the backpack says "Beneath", then maybe making the unique bugle/horn they have would have been nice.

I find the HT Gorilla Captain to be such a weird mix of accessories from "Beneath" and the TV series. They should have picked one or the other to go with.
Instead of the "Beneath" battle flag, maybe they should have made the red, ape head flag from the series for him.

Our very own talented Angel made some very cool battle flags for us.

For the next wave of Hot Toys apes, they better make the chimps. Also, Julius (with hairy arms or with longsleeves) is the only other gorilla that's really needed. If they make more gorillas, Hot Toys should create a new sculpt.

Is there a confirmation that HT will produce a next wave of Apes?

OK Guys---here is my Burke. This is the cup I used to create a mold and still be thrifty about it. See how I stamped his name backwards on a piece of clay so that when I took the mold out, it was written on there? Also, the cup was too shallow for the sculpt, so I made a dam of klean klay so I could make it deeper.

Look at the thousand air bubbles I made, because I didn't mix it for 45 seconds...and because I was freaked out that I only had 10 minutes of working time I did not take my time pouring it in the mold in a thin line. I basically just poured the dark liquid in there. Luckily, the hair can easily be resculpted by a newbie like me.

Remember when Ashton tore my mold in half? Anyway per Angel's suggestion I re-glued the mold with more mold material. The shiny area makes the sculpt "softer" in this area, but no biggie. I want to resculpt the hair.

Here's a photo of the Pano Cast in my bowl, before I pour water to make it grow. I took a photo record so that I could see how large it grows.

And here he is on the bottom of the bowl after I poured water in. It says leave in water and let it grow. Doesn't it look like a coin?

EXCITING STUFF, NO?

The guy behind the counter at Amok Time who sold me my HT gorilla seemed to feel like there'll be more. He said he heard that they sold very well overall.

I don't know how many more I can afford though. Unless I get a good job or a lot more gift cards, I'll have to keep my Hot Toys collection small.
