Once was enough for me. I forever hate Burton. I can't even remember most of that movie. The only thing that stands out are the red tents...that's it as far as my memory goes. I feel like I was cheated the first time I saw the film. I should have been really drunk and not sober.

LOL I feel the same about Terminator 3 and 4.
It is a shame that directors feel the need to change a great formula...the results are always for the worst :slap

With all these horrible remakes/re-imaginings and bad sequels coming out latey, directors really should think about the saying "If it aint broke, dont try and fix it."

It all starts with the script.

Remember a page or so ago, I ranted that I didn't have a copy of the Tim Burton remake... well it turns out that there was a copy of it hiding in the Caesar head collection of DVDs. So there. I saved myself $2.50.

I've read interviews with Tim Burton over the years concerning the film and he counts it as one of his worst films. I think he only did it as a favor to his producer friend Richard Zanuck. When asked about directing a sequel to it, he stated that he would rather jump out a window than do it.

Got to admire his honesty.

Still hate him very much!! That reimagination is one of THE worst films of all time. Amazing how much money went down the drain for such crap. Also, I never noticed before but his wife does look a lot like Johnny Depp. Go figure. :gah:

I know everyone is hurting for money right now, but I'm very curious for others to chime in to this question. (if interested please shoot me an e-mail) [email protected]

How much would you be willing to pay for all of the unpainted Tribunal furniture (3 chairs, table, 2 different wall partitions, lawgiver bust w/table, and all of the table items?)

If enough people are interested I might be willing to make these for others.:wink1:

Sixx - Depending on your tastes. You may want to consider something like these boots on your Conquest gorillas. Remember, all the apes in Conquest wore normal shoes without the monkey feet.

I used these boots (as seen on eBay) on a couple of my gorillas and I just painted them red using an acrylic paint.

https://cgi.ebay.com/WWII-GERMAN-OF...493?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item519777a86d

I was unable to locate the Sideshow, Hot Toys and Hasbro boots for a few of my gorillas so I used these because they were inexpensive.

I think the ape boots mentioned would be best, they're just hard to locate. Hard to locate, not impossible.

Good luck on your quest. I'll post a picture in a bit so you can get a idea what this boot looks like after being painted red.

Hey Angel! Remember Armando? I sent my Armando to this guy in New York to shrink to Mego scale and I have since lost touch with him. That's why you'll probably never see an Armando from me. That was a LONG time ago--just right after I got the Armando cast. Seeing this photo reminded me of that. Same story with Ada Chan's Brent. That's why I have to succeed in sculpting, so I don't have to deal with sad stories like this. I love sad stories, don't get me wrong--just I hate when it happens to me.

I know how you feel. I sent a bunch of heads to a "friend" who said he'd paint them for me. I'm waiting almost 6 years now and still don't have them.

Sixx -Here are those black boots painted red for your perusal. (I should have dusted those things off before taking this picture, very dusty.)

Hi Angel! Good choice on the boots! Thanks for the tip!

By the way, is that a club with the gorilla on the right on the picture or is he just happy to see taylor?:slap

Jessica - Sorry to hear about that crook. Let me know if you ever need Armando, I still have the mold. Love that POTA photo.

Ironman - You've been waiting 6 years!? I hope that guy isn't around here anymore. Sorry to hear about that... :(

Thanks Kent - :wave

Very sad stories. We are all suppossed to learn from each other, and enjoy our hobby.

What comes around goes around.

I would like to thank everyone here, for being so kind to me. I'm glad I restarted my hobby.

GO APE!!

Look how wonderful that gorilla hair is in the back. I love how it's wavy and not straight. That's how I like the gorillas to be...that's the hairstyle on the back that I'm going to try to make for my 1:1 Urko mask. I already bought human hair that curls up when wet...it could be straightened out as well or you could make it curl a little. I can't wait to start on that project. I'm still struggling with Mystique's outfit...I want to get that accomplished before I start on Urko.

Where Taylor is standing on this photo--that would be high enough to give me vertigo. I'm really scared of heights.

Angel--I was so desperate that I even wrote to Ada to ask her if she had the mold so I could get another cast, because I didn't know you made a mold. :monkey4:monkey4:monkey4 Can you believe she said that she didn't have a mold of it? How could that happen? I always thought she kept molds of everything she makes so that she could sell it on Feebay--like when Snick hired her out to make Brent. I would love to get an Armando cast. Do you want to trade an orangutan or Julius cast for an Armando cast?

IM--Sorry to hear about your loss of 6 headsculpts. That just bites. I hate when that happens, especially to one of my friends.

Sixx--glad you are customizing as well. We need more apes so we can take over the world.
