Ironman - You've been waiting 6 years!? I hope that guy isn't around here anymore. Sorry to hear about that... :(
No, luckily he was never on these boards that I know of.

IM--Sorry to hear about your loss of 6 headsculpts. That just bites. I hate when that happens, especially to one of my friends.

If it were only 6 I may have not gotten so angry over it. Unfortunately, it was more like 15-20

Ironman--that is really really horrible. After six years I doubt anything will come out of it other than you chalking it up as a learning experience.

I am so excited! I finally finished the outfit for Mystique. The outfit had me really stumped since forever, since her ample boobs made it really difficult to sew this form fitting outfit--I tried darts, etc., but they all looked horrible--so finally I just forced the fabric and somehow it worked. I finished the edges so Charles H. can thread some copper in there to make shape the fabric into billowing poses. I would thread it for him but I think the copper wire has been dumped during our last purge of crap.

Like Fox Mulder in the X-Files ..... TRUST NO ONE

On the flip side I've made some very good friends here and on a few other boards.

Jess, that outfit is another homerun!! You never cease to amaze. :yess:

Jess, if you want an Armando sculpt you can have mine. It's still unpainted. I'm not going to do anything with him.

Let me know if you are interested, I'll send it with your posters.

Wow PZ That would be most awesome! It really bothers me that the guy never sent him back if he couldn't figure out how to shrink him.

Do you want one of my tribunal orangutans?

I just ordered some paint online. I hope it will kickstart my interest in taking up the brush again.

Hi Jess! Would you happen to have that persons actual address? If so, give me the details and I can get that sculpt back for you. Same goes for IM!:1-1:

I don't know where he is any more. When I first dealt with him he was in Texas, then was moving and the last I heard was supposedly in the service now and stationed in Korea.
:gah:

Sure... a Dr. Honorius head would be great! :hi5: I would like to get a whole set of them from you eventually. :)

PM me your address and I'll send the package off tomorrow.

IM, That really sucks! I have been taken over the past years! I remember one guy told me that he was selling the horse saddle pouches like on the TV series and I received some balled up rags with string atteching them! Oohh did I fume!

Hey, who was asking about what boots to use if the split toe gorilla boots are not available? I have some pictures comparing the Hot Toys Gorilla boots next to some Dragon WWII German Jack Boots. The pic of the red boots is of the painted hasbro type next to the Hot Toys boots.:)

I was thinking maybe you could just get regular WWII boots and add the split toe yourself? That's how they do it in 1:1 scale!!

Thanks Kfog for the offer. Spoken like a true gorilla! LOL!!

Guys--hot off the ape vine, a new magazine to look forward to:

I like the steampunk influence on this one:

Hi Jess! I really like the graphics of the magazine!

Yes, I have often pondered about what kind of heating rod I could use to make the split toe. I wonder if there is a way as to not make the boot look too melted when attempting the split!

Kfog--I was thinking of sculpting on gorilla toes, making a mold of that, and pouring latex--which would be glued on top of the boots, and then painted black.

I was thinking about a thin metal rod being heated and then pressing against the front of the boot until it splits the correct spacing!:pfft::drool

I love that emoticon! That sounds interesting though!

I was also thinking about making a mold and cast of the ape boots and then pouring some high tensile rubber in there...but I'm not really sure how I could make it work. I need to keep thinking about stuff before I am brave enough. The sprue/pour holes would be at the heel/toe areas of the boots. You think that could work?

I have absolutely no idea about molds! I would definately ask angel about this one!:dunno

Without going into details, I just wanted to personally send a big thank you to Ironman1188. The man doesn't even know me, and went way out of his way to help a fellow ape lover. Class act all around! He went above and beyond anything that ever expected. I am so appreciative by his kind gesture.

If you ever need to deal with him, deal with him. You wont be sorry!

Hi Sixxvanrose! The boots pictured are what Angel was telling you about! I would agree that these make really good gorilla boots if you cannot find the correct Hot Toys, Sideshow, or Hasbro Apes boots.:exactly:
