Off topic for POTA's, but here are a couple custom Charlton Heston figures dressed as in The Omega Man!

Oh....I don't know who to sculpt now! Should I go with trying to make Worf or Urko? The Worf I started dried out and cracked, and I peeled everything off of him, so I have to start over.

Next?

How about?

Lak Sivrak

He is furry (insert compliments on your skills)

and I don't think anyone else is doing one.

Someone modified a Mezco Wolfman, but it was one of a kind.

I vote for that! and if you make hands too!

You know what is cool guys? Being able to sculpt what you want. You know what sucks? Not being able to sculpt humans...so I guess it's good to love Planet of the Apes. LOL!!

WOW WOW WOW! My first rotocast and it was successful! No real air bubbles...the only thing was the neck turned out hollow....so I had to punch the bottom of the neck, pour some more liquid resin in there, cover up the hole with clay...and its setting now. The heat/gas of the resin made its way out of a weak point of the rotocast, which was the nose...luckily I am using a slow cure resin, and caught that. What I did to correct this was wipe off the resin that was slowly dripping out of the nose, and punch another outlet through the ear of Djas Puhr.

It blows my mind to think that my eldest son prefers Rise of the Planet of the Apes to the original 1968 movie. I'm like wait...what?

And to this day I still refuse to allow the Tim Burton movie to be watched in our house.

What ape related projects are you working on? I need some inspiration!

Chief Marcus' wife Malia has already been sculpted/painted, and I'm waiting for a Kate Ericson dress to come in the mail so that I can make alterations and dye it... I'm feeling really good about this one.

Also working on:

Resculpting Law Givers hair.
Sculpting Marcus
Painting up the mutant gorillas sculpted hands and adding finishing touches to the wardrobe (excited about my ideas for this).
Totally redoing Zandar with a better suited base head.
Sculpting Jaffe and Sata

I want to finish off those projects before starting anything else.

Michael this is a great time to find clothes for your upcoming project! I found these at the craft store.

Are they 1:6? I still wish I could find a dress that is similar to Alaya. So far the Evil Queen from Snow White is the closest I've seen.

I should have measured them...the dresses are easy to tuck in, and they are Victorian looking enough. If they are larger than 1:6 it's in the length of the dress mostly. The easiest thing to do would be to sculpt the hieroglyph part (the bustier part) of the dress in Apoxie. I would love to sew that dress up but no time. Plus I've got to conquer some sculpts.

My girlfriend still hasn't noticed the Law Giver statue in her miniature village.

I completed the mutant gorilla! I used the sideshow mutant leader robe, Kevin Flynn clothes for under garments, cut fabric for the stole, repainted hasbro gorilla boots, cut out and repainted hasbro Ursus helmet glyph, and a repainted, trimmed and drilled (eyes and mouth) hasbro gorilla head as his "inmost self" mask.
