Congrats on the new Scar bio spidermonkey.
I know a few other freaks have already mentioned it,
But that is a kick ass set up..

Sry if this seems to be a noob question but can I place those bios on the top of an IKEA detolf glass display? Will it be able to withstand the weight if the bios?

The Detolfs will easily hold a bio on top.............(wont fit inside though)

I'm pretty sure they can survive a minor quake. For instance my Wolf Biohelmet is wallmounted and the tip of the screws are well inserted into the 2 holes at the bottom of the base. The way the hole is designed makes the base unremovable from the wall unless you push it upwards.

That makes sense. The mask it's self is only held on to the base with magnets though, correct? How securely does it attach?

I was dropping close to a thousand a year on Wizkids Heroclix, now that they're done I plan on turning that money into Predators!

I thought you meant the 3rd of June for a minute :horror. Forgot you yanks do the date thing different :D
Nice :rock

Welcome Supervenom :rock. I know! Mine is ordered and paid for, I just hate the waiting, especially when everyone else is getting theirs :monkey2

Those are some great pictures guys :)

I have to say though that even without the flash it still looks like it is missing the weathering and grime that was shown on the Sideshow pics. Would have been nice if they had kept that on there so it looks like it was actually used by a predator.

Kinda of a bummer, but I guess its just personal preference.

Hey guys... sorry to say but this piece was a disappointment and they completely went el cheapo on this. The Wolf is WAY better than this thing quality wise... the joke of all jokes is they've replaced the metal lense with A PIECE OF PAPER lol! So between that, lack of weathering, brush strokes, air pockets in the mold ruining the casting (the ribbing on the laser shroud is FUBAR on mine), this piece is just meh. Looks OK on the wall 10 feet away from you, but up close it blows. And the weathering is NOTHING like the prototype...

More pics and stuff here if you want to read it: https://www.predatorstuff.com/2009/...ws-the-new-sideshow-avp-scar-predator-helmet/

I also have a video on youtube in HD format you can check out at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XztiPL0oAFI&fmt=22

I made the video just after getting it, so you'll have to excuse me harping on the lense thing... I was just disgusted that a $300 collectible has been reduced to something so ridiculous now. Things must be pretty bad over at Sideshow if this is how they plan on saving money.

If you own the Wolf already, you'll see exactly what I mean on how this is so much cheaper looking.

I am still holding out hoping that mine will be one of the "better ones" :monkey2 :lol

Even if the paint was awesome and the casting was flawless, I still think the use of a piece of printed paper instead of metal for the lenses is pathetic.

Honestly though, when it's up on the wall and you're sitting back and looking at it, it's cool, it looks nice. It's only when you take it off the wall to check it out in your hands, you start seeing that it's done so cheaply.

:( :monkey2 . It really should be the same great quality as the wolf bio. I just hope the celtic bio is better quality.
