OMG if there is a sad scene that is well done in a movie it's pretty much guaranteed the tears will start flowing.

Some I can think of off hand are:

Forest Gump: When he asks if his son is "smart" and starts crying

Saving Private Ryan: The end with older Ryan at the cemetery... speaking of SPR, I absolutely can't watch the scene when Adam Goldberg is fighting with the Nazi and he slowly looses his strength and gets killed. All while Upham is sitting there on the stairs frozen with fear. Once I watched it the first time I have never seen it since, and I have watched the movie at least 10 times.

White Squall: When the boat sinks..... :monkey2

Titanic: The various sinking scenes

What dreams may come: pick a scene...

Armageddon: "Daddy NO........" Gets me everytime

Click: when he dies at the end omg so sad

The Notebook: The end

The Green Mile: When they electrocute first the french guy then later Coffee.. holy crap i cried and cried

Philadelphia: When Tom dies

Erin Brokavich: When they are playing the recorded testimony for the court after he dies.

Phenomenon: When Travolta dies

Bridge To Terebithia: When she dies, OMG what a shock as I have never read the book. That one hit me pretty hard.

The Perfect Storm: The end

Patch Adams: when she gets killed by that nut job

Pay It Forward: when HJO dies

Stepmom: when SS dies

FOTR: when the hobits are crying after Gandalf falls

AI: when he gets her back but only for 24 hours

The Patriot: when his son dies..... both of them.... and when HL gets to the town to find is new wife and everyone else burned alive int he church

SOoooooo many more.............

the thing that made me cry in films was the fly 2. That scene when martin finds that the mutant dog was still alive when i was 10 or 11 was upset by the scene.

This one gets to me as well.

I also skip right through that part when I watch it, that was probably THE most disturbing cinema I have ever seen. I think that the Nazi is telling him to stop fighting and it wont hurt!!! At least that's what someone told me.

That scene is about the single most disturbing scene on Earth to me as well.

If I remember correctly, the German (I think he was Wehrmacht, so not necessarily Nazi), said "Stop fighting, you don't have a chance anyway. It's over soon. Shhhh... it's OK it's almost over."

Chilling, yes. I also like the exchange when the German right after decides NOT to kill Upham although he could have easily done so.

Back to topic:

bought season 8 of Scrubs on Tuesday, day of release, just watched the Series Finale of Scrubs (well it was intended as the finale, there will be a 9th season now) and the ending got to me. Never heard The Book of Love song before and recognized Peter Gabriel's voice (and I'm a big fan of his). Wow this song really gets to me, along with my favorite show coming to an end after 8 years.

And yes, for some reason, this then happened... :monkey2

One of my favourites is the ending to Field of dreeams, where Kinsella (Costner) comes to realise that everything he did for others, was to lead the way for healing his own pain of not having been close to his father. Further to that as well, when Kinsella gets to meet his father's ghost on the ball field, and calls him Dad and asks him to play catch. Very touching :)

Ah yes, I forgot about that one. That got to me too.
