Wow, these sculpts look so good. I was going to get them, but I found out I have to save some money for my next project. Plus I already commissioned Chris to do the 3kings and I myself have some ST sculpts on the work bench too. I still have 3 days to struggle with this. This is giving me headaches and sleepless nights! Maybe I should dig out some of my old unopened figures and sell them on ebay on something....

Sorry, forgot to ask, what body are you using?

I'm using the SSC Buck. It's got that nice thin look that I like for Spock. And it will give Spock a little extra height against Kirk when I eventually get him. Besides, the open hand could easily be customized to display with the "Prosper" look.

I dyed the shirt today, put the insignia on it and added the rank. It's all very ghetto and thrown together, but looks nice. I'm waiting for the shirt to dry before I take pics.

Here is my temp Spock uniform. It's still drying, so forgive the darkness, the flash pics are more representative of what color it really is right now. I think it will lighten more as it fully dries. For the insignia, I used a glittery star to make it. I cut out the shape I needed and drew the science logo on it as well as a black border. It really came out pretty nice in the end. I also made the rank markings with glittery glue, ghetto I know.. but a cheap and easy way to make it work.

I dunno, man. What you call "ghetto", I call "clever". It might not be ideal, but for a quickie DIY solution, it does look pretty darn good. It'll do just fine until some proper unis are offered up for sale.

Thanks a lot Boot! I just really wanted to display him, and so I just rummaged through my parts bin and decided that I was going to make this happen no matter what.

I'm really happy with how it came out, I think that the shirt helped a lot. I really got lucky that I had it in the first place. Now I just need to make him a little makeshift Tricorder or something.

Josh, that is an amazing statement for "just throwing it together". Had other unis not been forthcoming, I'd be digging thru sites looking for the parts you used!!!
Oh, and as for bodies? If anyone doesn't like the way the Buck looks, I used the BBi Andromeda Dylan Hunt body. Its slender due to it being a G1 body but they added extra height because Sorbo was so tall.

wow, that does not look temporary at all!!! A sign of a gifted customizer is someone who can literally just "throw something together" and it looks better than most of professional stuff out there. just amazing Josh!!

btw, what ship is that? is that the Art Asylum 16" Enterprise?

Looks very nice, but the proportions do look a bit odd.
Is the head a bit large in your opinion?

The uniform you made and your painting look top-notch
Can't wait to get my Spock head now. I'll probably have to use the new Playmates shirt (even thought it's movie-not TV series accurate) until a new one is available.
