In regards to a 'guest', what if a current SSF has his or hers girlfriend/wife/friend sign up to SSF, is that person still a 'guest' or does a new member have to have a certain amount of time or post to qualify?

ha ha ha, all of a sudden the forum is going to have population explosion.

Not sure I should post this, as it will assuredly increase the competition for passes, but SDCC has announced "soft plans" to sell the returned 4-day badges. :panic:

https://www.comic-con.org/cci/cci_reg.php

"The deadline for refunded badges was June 20, 2011. We will announce via our website, Facebook, Twitter and RSS feed when those refunded badges will go on sale. This is a soft opening so the announcement will be made on the day registration opens with about one hour prior notice.

At this time we expect to have 1,500 4-day badges available for purchase.

A number of attendees have brought to our attention the fact that many people purchasing 4-day badges are not planning to attend all four days, while many people who want to attend all four days are forced to buy single-day badges at a higher price. In response, Comic-Con will no longer be offering a discount for 4-day badge purchases. Instead, a 4-day badge and four single-day badges will be the same price. We hope that this change will encourage people to purchase only the days they will actually be attending, leaving additional badges for others who want to attend Comic-Con.

A 4-day adult badge without Preview Night will be sold at the non-discounted rate of $137 that includes a $6 reprocessing fee. Junior, Senior, and Military 4-day badges without Preview Night will be sold at the non-discounted rate of $68 each. You may purchase up to TWO 4-day badges only.

Single-day badges will be available at a later time."

Completely lame to raise prices of 4 day passes like that, but I can also see their reasoning. Making sure I register for next year while I'm there.

Interesting...very interesting...they really need to work on their management of these things, "one hour" notice!

Im always working ridiculously hard when these things go down and miss out.

I wish they'd just keep those 1,500 badges. Its overcrowded as it is! 1,500 less people would be nice even if unnoticable :(

I too will be ordering my badges this year. Heck, if I'm able, I'm picking up my badge and then getting in line to buy next years badge! :lol

The design looks cool!

Regarding the get-together - it will be more of an early evening thing and will be a bit of a dinner party, a bit of a focus group, and just a bit of a social thing. So there's no reason we can't all meet up later somewhere with wives and girlfriends, etc.

Suppose your right!

And thanks! I wish I had more support on the shirt! It's to late to print these now! lol

So, normally for races, a qualifying round means that one has to finish a course within a certain amount of time.

Now, for a collector, do we have to have a minimum number of collectibles to qualify???

;)

no avengers panel at comic-con
event coverage
comic-con 2011
alas, the avengers won't be back on stage together at comic-con this year, nor does it sound like any footage will debut. La times' hero complex is confirming that marvel studios is passing on having a panel for the highly anticipated film at comic-con and won't have any presence in the huge hall h, where the biggest panels are held.
