For kicks and giggles I decided to jump in the registration line 40 minutes after it went up. I'm currently #7070 in line. I hope everyone that wanted badges got them.

If this system can hold up under heavy load, then things should go much smoother during registration for next year.

I'm still going to register for next year while I'm there, so I don't have to worry.

Just being in a place with lots of Freaks and Sideshow folks in a nice dinner party atmosphere throwing down drinks is what made it so much damn fun.

That is exactly how I felt at CV, even though I was able to score a couple of really cool prizes. But I think for next year (CVI), if there even are prizes, I would offer to be the guy pulling tickets out of the hat or holding the hat, instead of Shropt, because honestly, I just don't need any prizes. I want everyone else to have them and have a great time.

The experience is what I am after.

Well, plus I've been thinking about all the great fortune I've had with Sideshow over the years and I can't even remember all the prizes I've scored during chats and live events too. I've won at the SDCC booth, at our CV get together, in chat multiple times. Hell, I was the Eye of Sauron last year, and don't you forget it. And where are all of my prizes now?

Sold to earn cash for the Sideshow toys I really want!

But, I'm serious. Enough prizes, let me pull the names!

This just shows you how little I pay attention to the drama... I've been to every Freaks party for the past 4-5 years, and I had no idea any of this stuff had even happened.

That's what happens when you get plastered 30 mins into the party.

Thats one thing I try to work on is putting names with faces that way I can recall things. Otherwise, I feel bad that I can't remember someones name the next year when I see them. Facebook helps with this as well.

In my defense, Carl was out like a flash to the droid builders' party right as me and my crew were showing up fashionably late to the freaks' shindig. Still, no excuse from someone who was not even drinking that night, me!
