Does anyone know when and where they sell tickets for the following year on site? I have never done that before, but in light of recent events I am going to try to secure my 4-day pass with Preview Night as soon as possible. I want to get it out of the way, hopefully on Wednesday, and enjoy the rest of the convention.

In past, they've had a booth in the lobby area just before you enter the exhibition hall. Just look for the 10,000-plus folks in line who will have the same plan. I plan to be in that line as well.

Let us know if that gets your passes cancelled or not. I've heard that Comic-Con has people on the lookout for this and they are strict about enforcing their no resale policy.

Oh, I definitely thought about that. I was sure not to post any of my personal information, the confirmation # or anything like that. And worst case these won't affect the actual passes I'm using myself anyway. I'm pretty sure all they could do is try and get my auction closed by eBay.

One guy on there has an auction for his passes and even put a photo of his confirmation letter with HIS NAME on it. That was probably a bad idea.

How does selling comic-con tickets on eBay work? Do you have physical tickets to sell? i thought they didn't even let you pick up passes until you get there for that reason...

That's how you have to do it: You have to actually be there, pick up the badges, and then meet the buyer in person. I suppose folks could "sell" their confirmation letters with the bar codes, but if the SDCC badge person asks for an ID (as they usually do) then the buyer is fooked.
