I see, hopefully that works out. Someone was telling me a while back that you could say that you lost your pass and they will give you another one, then you could either give it to a friend or sell it. If that's true i might have to lose my pass a couple times so i can afford to eat more than ketchup packets.

I think you can get a replacement badge if you lose yours, but you have to pay for it... at least $75 if I'm not mistaken.

:lol i suppose that would be counterproductive unless i could sell them for a lot more. either way more work than its worth to me. i think i will just stick to the ketchup and try to enjoy myself.

the best thing to do is stop by a ralph's supermarket or something and pick up a prepared sandwich, snacks, and drinks and load them in your bookbag. what costs you about $20 at the con probably costs about $7 at a supermarket.

I made a rookie move last year and lost my 4 day on preview night. The badge design was pretty bad and it got yanked off by all the stuff I was carrying easily. I think it cost my $20 or $40, but they told me if I lose it again, I'd be SOL. You get recorded in the system as having lost a badge.

It's not too bad having to come in from Vegas, and I've been very fortunate to be able to stay at a friend's home just three trolley stops away each time I have attended.

They moved further out this year, but still nice to save on the hotel portion of this usually expensive endeavor.

can someone explain to me how one gets admitted into Hall H. Is it a lottery system. I want to watch the premiere of the remake Fright Night. Ive never been to SDCC so I dont know the protocol.

First come, first in. Lines are long for things with alot of Hype. Like Green Lantern last year. And any Potters, or movie sneaks.

But, once you are in, you are in for as many panels as you would like to sit thru.

So, the best thing to do is, if you are wanting to go to a popular panel, sit thru the panel or two before it. Bring some snacks and drinks. Room is air conditioned, which is nice

I'm hoping to catch Prometheus myself, and am truly hoping the panel is on Sat or Sun when I am there and preferably not in Hall H. Huge Alien fan here. I haven't been inside Hall H in three years!

...I didnt know there going to show Prometheus. Where do you go to see what movies there going to premeir

If I remember correctly Hall H seats about 5,000. Once You're in you must stay. Otherwise, once you walk outside you have to go to the back of the line. If it's a popular panel, then you'll want to get in line a couple hours early. Another factor would be if there is a popular panel before or after it. If there is one before it, then the hall will clear out a lot of people once the panel is over and you'll have a good chance of getting in. If a popular panel is after then you'll probably want to get in line earlier.

2 years ago I sat through 4 or 5 panels to see the Iron Man 2 panel. I got in Hall H around noon and IM2 started around 4 or 5.

I believe there is a concession stand just outside the room doors (still inside the hall h building, just in the hallway outside the meeting room doors. You won't lose your place if you go to it) where they sell drinks and some snacks.

Right now you'll have to check with the individual studios to see if they have announced it on their websites. In about a week or two cci will release the full schedule of all panels and activities so you can start planning.
